Is anyone here a little f*cked up with a connection to the beautiful people? Do you have a degree from um or Tosu? Maybe a spouse or family member does?

I’m an a$$hole. I got it wrong twice. Two irrelevant b1g institutions. Penn State and Illinois.

My dad got his Ph.D. from maryland.

Our son had a PSU undergrad degree and a degree from OSU school of medicine. While I and he hate OSU football, OSU CoM was outstanding. He got great training there.

My grandfather graduated from the University of Michigan in 1929. BS Chemical Engineering. Went straight to working at Bell Labs.

My parents, sister and daughter went to OSU. Mother - Undergraduate. Father - Medical school. Sister - Undergraduate and Medical school. Daughter - Undergraduate (last 2 years with first 2 years at BGSU) and Graduate school.

Me - Penn State, the superior school.

Have had a few Michigan colleagues; OSU not as well represented in DC it seems. That said, we are all in on the Dark Blues when it comes to The Boat Race!!

1/2 my relatives in my moms side went to UM. The rest(save one uncle) are huge fans. Uncle cheers for Sparty and (since ‘96 when i enrolled) PSU to p*** the rest of them off.

I used to cheer for UM until 97 when I had about 50 messages of just laughter on my answering machine from the time it took to walk from the Beav to downtown appt.

I currently live in STL and know a few alums of each here. I will admit the UM alums are less arrogant and a**h*** ish tha the bucknuts

Columbus is halfway to my wife’s family in Illinois and I’ve spent a lot of time there. Great zoo, great art museum, great bookstore in the German Village (The Book Loft), great German food (Schmidt’s), beyond great bbq (Smoked on High), crappy university.

Wife’s cousin is an extremely obnoxious UM alum.
My nephew is a semi-obnoxious OSU alum.

I hate losing to them. Like real bad.
