As long as your system had enough memory for the game, after it downloads the icon for the game should appear on your home screen.

Usually does, it isn’t. Not available for redownload. Maybe it’s in the original overcoooked 2 game as an expansion, but can’t find it?

So you bought the Gourmet Edition although you already owned Overcooked 2? It's just Overcooked 2 plus the already available DLC. Seems it would have been cheaper to just buy those?

In any case, I assume that means it just added the DLC to your Overcooked game but really hard to say. I would suggest deleting Overcooked 2 from your Switch and then re-downloaded Gourmet Edition.

I know I wanted to buy one with my stimulus and they are either unavailable online or marked up to $5-600 online which is absurd.

Im not a huge gamer but I pick up my PS4 periodically. I grew up with NES and SNES so I'd like to play the updated classics theyve put out on Switch. Whenever I think about buying one on a whim its never in stock. WTF Nintendo....I understand creating a supply/demand issue but the damn thing has been out for at least 2-3 yrs. How the hell are there not enough being produced/available at this juncture?

part of it is due to Animal Crossing releasing within the last month, which is very popular with the more casual gamers.

Not just the casuals, either. Almost every gaming friend I have is playing Animal Crossing right now. Sure, it may not be for the sports/shooting only crowd, but for most of my friends who grew up playing every game we could get back to Super Mario, it seems to be a hit.

Case in point, in the USA the Switch just had the biggest March of any game console, ever, and doubled its sales from 2019. Combine that with supply constrictions due to the coronavirus, and here we are.

Hey Seth
Thanks for the reply. I did buy the gourmet edition on eShop, and I already owned the actual physical game overcooked 2. I can’t redownload the purchase as there is nothing showing up on my account under the redownload option. No purchase of mine is showing up under there, so nothing to redownload.

I don’t know if gourmet edition should show on my home screen, or if the expansion will just show up inside my game overcooked 2. If it shows inside the actual game overcooked 2 somewhere, I can’t find it. It’s not on home screen.

When i search for game in eShop, is says purchased, but doesn’t show up under redownload options?

Any thoughts?

One thing you could always do is reach out to switch or the overcooked developers on social media. Most teams respond pretty quickly that way.

I’ll try, but I have no social media accounts of any kind.

Trying to get one myself. A target by me got a shipment and they were gone within 5 min of the store opening. I suspect half the people buying them are just doing it to resell them.

Put the Overcooked card in the Switch. It should pop up on the screen. Highlight It, click +, software information, Nintendo eShop. Then scroll down and see if it says you have all of the DLC. If it does then at least you know it is somehow there and connected to your original overcooked 2.

I am in my 30s now and the gaming has slowed down since marriage and having a 19 month old son. I cannot get into sports games anymore...waste money on them and then lose interest in a week. It just doesn't compare to the real thing. To be fair, no real thing now so I have been playing some NBA2k. Now if there was a college football or basketball game (2k8 was amazing) I'd play them more as I love the college game.

I go on binges...my wife bought me Red Dead 2 for my birthday in 2018...I got bored of it somehow ( long horse rides annoyed me at first) and only was in Chapter 2. Well this 2020 February I started playing again and beat it...played it religio8usly for over a month and then stopped. I love the AC games...hoping for a Vikings one this year as rumored. I loved the AC Odyssey and Origin games and played Odyssey a ton right after my son was born when I was off a week or two. Otherwise, I'm not a huge gamer. I can go a month without hardly playing it.

That said, Witcher 3, AC series, GTA/Red Dead series, Fallout series (not my favorite but still like it), Elder Scrolls, Dragon Age, etc, I can get my nerd on with some good RPGs. I will probably get the new additions of the above, but most of them are once a decade titles nowadays it seems so again, I can binge and then be done and go back to being a responsible adult. That said, I wonder if at some age we just all say I'm done and don't play anymore lol doubt it. I digress, sorry to hijack the thread OP but video gaming has me feeling nostalgic.

Yeah, we're about the same. Ill get one of the "in depth" titles and get into and go through it over maybe a month and then not pick up the PS4 for another 4 or 6 months. It's funny you bring up Red Dead and Assassins Creed. Im the opposite. I loved RDR and got bored with AC fast.

You can get a lot of play out of Skyrim. Best game in the Elder Scrolls series in my opinion. No online play though. I get bored of those style of games after a while. I get tired of bouncing back and forth through the same towns doing side missions but it is a requirement if you want to get better gear and exp.

I prefer fps games (not just for online play) like Borderlands and any of the COD games with campaigns, but they don't put much effort in those COD ones anymore. The game I'm looking forward to the most is Diablo 4 whenever it comes out in the future. Grew up a fan of the franchise.

I can’t believe the switch are selling used for $500 on eBay right now. That’s nuts. I have one I’ve played exactly once I got as a sales prize I’m putting that puppy on eBay this week.
