I am in my 30s now and the gaming has slowed down since marriage and having a 19 month old son. I cannot get into sports games anymore...waste money on them and then lose interest in a week. It just doesn't compare to the real thing. To be fair, no real thing now so I have been playing some NBA2k. Now if there was a college football or basketball game (2k8 was amazing) I'd play them more as I love the college game.
I go on binges...my wife bought me Red Dead 2 for my birthday in 2018...I got bored of it somehow ( long horse rides annoyed me at first) and only was in Chapter 2. Well this 2020 February I started playing again and beat it...played it religio8usly for over a month and then stopped. I love the AC games...hoping for a Vikings one this year as rumored. I loved the AC Odyssey and Origin games and played Odyssey a ton right after my son was born when I was off a week or two. Otherwise, I'm not a huge gamer. I can go a month without hardly playing it.
That said, Witcher 3, AC series, GTA/Red Dead series, Fallout series (not my favorite but still like it), Elder Scrolls, Dragon Age, etc, I can get my nerd on with some good RPGs. I will probably get the new additions of the above, but most of them are once a decade titles nowadays it seems so again, I can binge and then be done and go back to being a responsible adult. That said, I wonder if at some age we just all say I'm done and don't play anymore lol doubt it. I digress, sorry to hijack the thread OP but video gaming has me feeling nostalgic.
