Anyone know about shooter on campus?

I feel sorry for that kid. Active shooter situations are not funny, but the videos show that kid doing nothing but minding his own business, while strolling along campus while holding an umbrella. You know he was detained and questioned by police and had to go through all that nonsense. Meanwhile, his parents, I’m sure saw videos of their son being called an active shooter. Ridiculous. It doesn’t even look remotely anything like a rifle that he’s carrying.

Heard a report on the radio this morning that they interviewed students who, even after being told it was a false alarm, just dont feel safe on campus anymore.

So a man with an umbrella made you feel unsafe? At least point to a real situation to make that claim.

To be fair, maybe the students had been watching Batman re-runs from the 60's where the Penguin had some pretty lethal umbrellas. On a serious side, I'm just glad everyone is safe.

They seemed disappointed that there wasn't an active shooter.

I wouldn't feel sorry for him. If he was indeed "detained" and questioned - for carrying an umbrella - I'd say he was illegally detained and probably has a lock down, air tight, massive lawsuit in his future. Big payday coming. Maybe.

If he was detained, it would have been very short-lived given there was no weapon or incident whatsoever.

Wonder if they had guns pointed at him on the initial encounter? Now that would be unnerving. :)

Just wait for it - there will be a ban on carrying umbrella on campus on the agenda!

WE DEMAND IT - BRING BACK THE RAIN!!!! Everyone should get wet in Trump's America.:rolleyes::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Lordy, these people.... lol. Total fools. Ok, I'm done.

I really do hope that there will be some sort of legal and financial consequences if a police presence of some nature detained him for such nonsense. The message needs to be sent: You can play "Karen" if you want to, but it'll cost you...

Ban on umbrellas that look like rifles. That should clear it up.
That would not have worked in this case because the kid was very clearly carrying an umbrella. It did not look remotely like a rifle to any person who has ever seen a rifle. Maybe it looked like a rifle to someone who had never seen one but had only ever heard of them described as long, skinny black objects, more pointy one end than the other.
