I didn't see anything in there about cortisol being produced in one's brain.

Like I said, if yours does, you better get it checked out.

I think I used the term “release” or intended to do so. I never said “your brain produces cortisol” - Is there a point you’re driving toward outside of semantics? Steady state cardio triggers your brain to release cortisol which is not ideal for fat burn. Happy to connect you to someone to discuss personally if you’re doubtful on that point? Or jog away.... your call. I’m just offering what has worked for me plus about 80 other people of all shapes and sizes who have joined up with this program so far.

How does "release" make it any better?

Happy to connect you to the medical professionals working with us as I am not one. I still fail to understand what you’re trying to do other than poorly troll someone over what the brain actually does versus what the pituitary gland actually does, but again this is just very sophomoric semantics at this point without any real attempt to make one. Just trying to help before people spend a lot of money on cardio unless they just love cardio

This particular link doesn’t get into the windmill you’ve decided to battle tonight, but it does support the points against steady state cardio

One of my trainers is a physical therapist who bases everything off of various studies and I texted him to ask for any literature that supports the relationship of the stress hormone and fat storage. Again, not sure why you’ve decided to pick on that point so hard without making one yourself but will provide what I can when I hear from Dustin despite the fact you’re being a petty little child

Additional link explains further the loss of muscle mass and resulting metabolic slow down that comes with steady state cardio

I again will get with the PT and get his article which he will be happy to share on the stress hormone. But point remains - do steady state cardio if you are just getting started and can do NOTHING else - or if you’re just not man enough for strength training. Don’t invest a lot in equipment for steady state cardio long term would be the recommendation there if you really want long term weight loss - unless you just like doing cardio as a thing. Which in that case go ahead.

One more above.... explaining longer exercising (after all, cardio is longer than strength training unless you’re either very weak at cardio or insanely physically strong) affects cortisol levels - and more is not better. Those levels affect your synthesis of protein, it converts protein to glucose, etc. all leads to loss of muscle mass which leads to slowed metabolism which opens the door wide open to fat storage

Go ride your bike all you want for fun. It’s not how you trim fat for life regardless of where cortisol is physically secreting from (adrenals) which I realize are not near the brain.... but the brain directs the traffic, and you’re just pushing the semantics to.... idk.... you have failed to make a single point yet other than you’re pissed people misspell the brand because nobody in their right mind owns one or gives a crap about how it’s spelled.

I think we've had a breakthrough!

Keep blaming semantics, though, instead of admitting your mistake.

Spectacle wants to sell you a time share and nutritional supplements. It’s not like he’s an engineer with an MBA or anything

Nothing burns fat like well done strength training, and steady state cardio is nothing more than really weak strength training, plus it releases cortisol from your brain which further aids fat storage. Biking and jogging can be good if you enjoy it but otherwise it’s a less effective way to lose muscle mass, store fat and destroy your joints (less so on the bike)

Slow, controlled, deliberate stress and stimulus applied to the muscle is the way to gain lean muscle mass which burns fat even as you sleep. Can be done with body weight, dumbbells, resistance bands, etc. My purchase was a used set of Bowflex 552 dumbbells and combination of resistance bands from Under Sun and Clench. Everything fits in a drawer and the dumbbells right on top of a table. Total cost: 400 for me

Was 232.... lost 23 lbs in 6 weeks and 40 lbs in 6 months. 195 today at 6’2” and lifting four times per week plus boxing for HIIT training. All very little cash or space

The guy training me has a National online program that is cheaper to deal with, will work, and doesn’t take up your whole living room. Message me if you want me to link you - I don’t make any money off of it. Just passionate about the fact that it works
Like the total gym for strength training and a pushup bar. Use resistance bands for a month or so to change things up for a short time and then back to the Total Gym. Really a good machine for strength training for me because of the stretching affect.
