Looking for a new show to watch and came across Band of Brothers on Amazon Prime. Has anyone watched it and is it worth the time?

Dude, seriously. Even if you never had HBO you should have known and heard about BoB. Simply put, it is the best thing ever produced for television.

A must see and I loved it. Especially WW2 from beginning to end. The greatest generation, I got to see where my father went from being drafted out of H.S.to fight the Germans in the Battle of the Bulge. Can't wait to see it again! A true masterpiece!

I'd say a lot of people have watched it. It was on Disney Channel for years and they all three have gone on to lucrative careers. A true American success story.

I had heard of it but never watched it just like I have heard of Game of Thrones but never watched it. Just because something is highly acclaimed doesn't mean it's great for everyone. Just asking for opinions.

Has anyone heard of The Godfather? I think it is about crime, or a family, or a family crime or something like that. I also understand there is a sequel worth watching? If anyone has ever watched this movie, let me know what you think of it. Thanks in advance.

I am of the opinion you shouldn't start threads asking about whether you should watch a universally-loved 16 year old mini-series. What's next, Lonesome Dove?

I watched it, but it wasn't very funny and the drama felt really scripted. You should probably stick with one of those Real Housewives series.

I am of the opinion if you don't like the title of a thread you don't click on it and sure as heck don't waste your precious time to post in it.

Douchebag responses from guys who think they are the next comedy star is why I hate posting in the Paddock. I ask a genuine question but 1/2 of the responses are [poop]

It is the way of The Paddock. Tons of online reviews could have given you all the info you needed.

Frankly, you got off easy in this thread. I'm surprised people haven't made more fun of you.

interesting tidbit, Blythe didn't really die in battle. Also at the end when Winters gives the Nazi officer his pistol back, in real life he kept it. He realized after he took it that it had never been fired, so he made sure that he put it up and never fired it either. Kinda cool

One of the best mini series of all time. I've watched it 5 times and will most likely watch it again next year.

Those dudes would **** on our generation full of safe spaces and hurt feelings.

There was an older gentleman that used to volunteer at the local YMCA in Fort Worth. Friendly guy and we used to converse about sports quite frequently. We were talking about military service one day and I mentioned that my father was in the 101st but only in the occupation forces in Germany. He then told me that his brother was one of the original Band of Brothers and I really did not know what to say. I looked it up later and it was one of the guys from New York but I cannot remember his name. In any case, just goes to show that it's a small world.

Great. Way to ruin the ending.

Watching The North and the South over the long weekend. Hope no one tells me how this civil war thing turns out.

Not sure I can tell you how it ends, seems like it is still going on, at least in some peoples minds

BOB is good in showing the war in Europe. The Pacific is good for showing WW2 in the Pacific, both really good.
