Probably have a ridiculous SOS in the triple digits.Originally posted by mdlUK.1:

Check their schedule they have beat no one and lost to Houston, Portland and Valpo and they have 1 top 100 win.Originally posted by Cawood86:
If you are good enough to be ranked in the top 25, you have to be good enough to be in the tourney.
Really? Didn't know that. Big time shot.Originally posted by WildcatFan60:
Taylor Barnett who hit the game winning 3 for Belmont is from Lexington.
Then they shouldn't be ranked. Since they are, they should get in.Originally posted by CatPhight:

The problem is that Murray got into the top 25 because they went 16-0 in the OVC. However, the OVC is a one bid league and Murray never had a signature OOC win. They lost to Houston, Xavier, and Portland. They did beat WKU, but WKU is the fifth-best team in Conference USA this year (which is looking like another one bid league).Originally posted by Cawood86:

You may be right, but being ranked in the top 25 is no small feat. Somebody must think they are pretty good.Originally posted by HenryMuto:

Has a ranked team ever been left out of the tourney? Don't know, just asking.Originally posted by KYExtemper:

Again, this is why I hate small conferences having a tournament for their bid. To get a good rep, they should send their best team and give it to the regular season winner. For Murray to go 16-0 in conference and lose a de facto road game in Nashville to Belmont to miss out on the NCAA is ridiculous.
Because you're looking at the wrong ranking.Originally posted by mdlUK.1:

Disagree on expanding the field. But agree on Murray St is good enough to beat a lot of teams that will be in the tourney.Originally posted by deplion:
Sucks for Murray.
I know I am in a small minority on this, but I think the tournament field should be expanded.
There are a number of tournament teams Murray is more than capable of beating. Too bad they won't have a chance because Belmont was a tiny bit better tonight.
Yep. About 11 years ago, I think. It was one of the mid majors obviously.Originally posted by Cawood86:

That's a really good questions. MSU won't be ranked Monday.Originally posted by Cawood86:

Yep. Went to LCA and played for Virginia before transferring to Belmont. Awesome. I love seeing Kentucky natives do work. I don't care if it was against Murray. I only care about one Kentucky team.Originally posted by Cawood86:

Why do I think you are also one of those dillusional ppl on this board pontificating that marquis teague was/is better than Isaiah Canaan?Originally posted by HeismanWildcat85:

No kidding, it's not like Belmont's game plan was some big secret, they've been playing Murray 3 times a year for 3 years now.Originally posted by Mister_T:
Belmont played for the three pointer all night and Murray just really never adjusted.
