A nice spot to be in right now along with being first place in the ACC.
I agree, I had this convo with a friend about a week ago just saying I would be 100% content staying in the 4-5 spot over the next month. Means we keep winning and are in the conversation for the 1 seed as the season closes. All you can ask for!
I was checking the Sagarin rankings today, and noticed that Louisville is the only top 10 team with a losing record against top 50 teams. Arizona(#19) is the only other top 20 team with a sub .500 record against the top 50. While I am enjoying Louisville's win streak; it could still be fool's gold.
That was then; this is now. Judge UL in relation to the rest of the country; we are as definitely deserving of #5 now
Completely agree there. And, I'll feel a lot better if the Cards win this Saturday. UVA has been in this program's head, just like UK. It's the only way to explain the lopsidedness. I'd love to see the Cards win both games against UVA to break the spell and get UVA out of their heads.
If we want a chance at a 1 seed, need to beat them both times. With our lack of quad 1 wins and the fact that 3 of the 1 seeds are "pretty much" a done deal the room for error is extremely small.
