When I was in 8th grade, about 1995ish, I really wanted a Bengals starter jacket for Xmas. Was on the top of my list, and I would dream about wearing that badass orange striped jacket and making all my buddies green with envy.

My parents, being foreign, had no real concept of what the hell I was talking about, and I woke up Xmas morning to this beauty

My mom, you see, thought I would like this beautiful gold much better, and the apex was half the price of whatever starter was! I still remember kids yelling at me “Saints suck” in the hallway as I had to wear that stupid coat for 3 years.

It was that Xmas that I became....AN APEX LEGEND

The Apex CF16 irons are one of the best sets ever made. Their follow up the Apex CF19 have just recently been released by Callaway.

It’s fine but it’s almost exactly the same as Blackout on CoD.
Can't agree with this at all. Blackout is/was trash. This game is what Blackout should have been.

This game has 10,000,000 players in three days. Fortnite finally has legit competition

You know what? You’re right. I was a little quick to judge. I’m having a ton of fun with it now. The loot system is really satisfying, the legends abilities feel pretty perfect as far as not being overpowered but still useful (Bloodhound gang here, but I like Lifeline and Wraith too), and the skill gap is a lot lower. That’s something Fortnite struggles with now because of all the sweaty middle schoolers trying to be the next Ninja. Run up on one (or 4) of them in Fortnite and you just have no chance. I feel like anyone has a chance in a firefight in this game unless you just have no thumbs.

It’s also nice to get character and weapon skins (a lot of them actually) without being forced to spend money.

I’ve racked up about 7 or 8 wins in this first week and my highest kill game is 9 I think. Really, really fun game.

Maybe I am in the minority, but I'm just not a big fan of these fps games with huge maps. My eyesight sucks these days and it is to damn hard to make out players in the distance. Plus I am to impatient. Not a fan of dying once and having to restart the game if your teammates don't revive you and get into a whole new lobby to do it all again.

I prefer more of a team deathmatch style of play or some of the other game modes that go along with it in games like the previous COD games. I didn't even buy BO4 (first COD I didn't buy) because they got rid of the campaign, added a battle royale mode, and rehashed the specialists that I wasn't a huge fan of in BO3. With the way things are going, I probably won't be playing fps games much more in the future with the direction they are going in making new ones.

Had been avoiding it as I just assumed from the hype that it was the new Fortnite, which became unplayable for anyone over 12 years old that couldn't devote 10 hours a day to it. I'll give it a try this weekend after this thread.

Its very good IMO. A fresh take on Battle Royale. Its way different than Fortnite.

Still have my UK Apex jacket from that time.

I like the game. Great blend of some good games. I like the special abilities of the players although Lifeline seems to be overpowered. The game plays smooth and the map is awesome. Looking forward to updates and duos. The only gripe is that the end game doesn't seem as intense as pubg or fortnite. All in all a great gaming experience and potential for even more down the line

There are sooo many just small nuances of Apex Legends that are brilliant.

1) The implementation of "heros" who are very well balanced.
2) Randomization in the order in which Legends are picked.
3) The whole jumpmaster idea.
4) Ziplines...
5) The looting system. I love that if I have an AR with all attachments and I switch to different gun the attachments that are compatible automatically transfer.
6)The idea of "finishers" to finish off knocked players. Risky, but fun. Had a dude trying to do one on me and my teammate knocked him and I returned the favor.
7) Insanely quick games and load times. Truly efficient.
8) The movement is the best in the Battle Royale Genre IMO.

Finally, worthy competition for Fortnite. Cant wait until they release a season.

For me I am a big Bloodhound guy. Bloodhound with Bandladore (sp?) can be a lethal combination.... Bangs smoke with Bloodhounds ULT is a nice combo to use together.

Can't quite figure Wraith out. Bloodhound is my best. Then Pathfinder.
Pathfinder is really underrated I think. Love the grappler. Being able to see the next zone is also very helpful. Gibraltar is also solid. Love the body shield. Very effective early in the game.
I like that there is different levels of extended mags. I'm liking the havoc alot. Not enough energy ammo though.

My 4 favorite guns at the moment.

Peacekeeper
Mastiff (amazing to have especially at the last circle)
Havoc
Hemlok

The R99 and 301 are awesome but the purple extended mags are a must. Not a fan of the wingman but everyone else seems to like it. The hemloc is really good. The spitfire is really good too because of the mag size. The mastiff is really hard to get. My favorite is the peacekeeper. Get a precision choke and a bolt and it's hard to beat

The havoc is awesome but there doesn't seem to be enough ammo for it in the game. Am I the only one that has this issue?

Been playing some with Mirage. Had some epic bamboozled moments--- The decoy is very useful in the last circles to figure out where people are

My Favorite guns so far are as follows:

Hemlok
Prowler
Peacekeeper
R-99
Wingman

Energy ammo is way too hard to find sometimes. Yet light ammo is every damn where.

Played a ton of Lifeline today. She may be my new fav. Her speedy heals come in handy in fights. Played 7-8 games and had 27 kills. One game had my high of 8 kills. Might be my new fav.
