Totally agree with you about the TD catch. Obvious drop and Musberger could not comprehend why it wasn't a catch. Maybe he didn't see the ball on the ground? He's not very good anymore.

Umm....think you answered your own question. If you watched the replay the runner had one knee down BEFORE Maybin clocked him........

He put to knee down right as he caught it with the defender having no time to do anything about it. If the returner was standing straight up it's not targeting, but he went to ground when the defender was like 5 feet from him. Not exactly enough time for him to pull up or get out of the way.

Why do teams even worry about out kicking the coverage? Why not just get an accurate punter that can kick a 1/2 mile and kick it out of bounds - at the 10 or so.

App state runs a draw/hand off for nine yards under a minute to go. Why did that not work for us in he auburn game!

Even if UT wins this they sure don't look like contenders for the east.

Well, App State is driving with under a minute to go. Unfortunately it seems like their kicker isn't great so they still have a little way to go before he can feasibly make it.

TN will win this because the other team has an idiot kicker who can't make an extra point...and I'm not talking a new NFL "extra point" which is not a sure thing, I'm talking a real sissy extra point.

Hell their QB should've at least chucked it to the end zone instead of diving out of bounds

I don't think that QB (or the App State coaching staff) knew what planet they were on, much less the game clock situation, on that last play.

Huge advantage for UT in OT. Appalachian State's kicker sucks so they'll likely need to score TDs or they won't get points. I feel like Appalachian State will need a turnover to win.

It's simple to me. If UT scores here and goes up 7, and I score to cut it to 1...I go for 2 and the win in the first OT. The longer the game goes the more it favors UT. App St has one shot here IMO.

Does everyone here hate UT so much that it out weighs the SEC looking good.

My heart sure wants UT to go down, lived close and worked on the boarder for most my life.... but I am one that thinks it is best if the SEC wins all out of conference games.
