I wonder if Apple has an interest in streaming college football? They dipped their toe into sports with MLB this year and they may be exploring streaming opportunities with the NFL.
With college sports, money talks. Fox has an EBITDA of $2B. Disney (ESPN) has an EBITDA of $10B. Apple has an EBITDA of $150B. Apple could offer an attractive package to a 16, 18, or 20 team expanded Big 12, if Fox and ESPN don’t come to the table.
Not saying this is likely, but the Big 12 should be exploring this option.
