End of 1, 14-0 Appo. Appo gave it away on a Jet-Sweep. Richlands facing 4th down to open the 2nd qt.
It wouldn't matter. Richlands does show success with running, but don't seem to be going to it enough.
28-7 Appo. Richlands threw a pick in the end zone. I'm not downing him, but I'm not impressed at all with Asbury. I think that has a lot to do with Appo though.
Congrats Appomattox you guys deserve it.
Coach Gill said over summer maybe he was dying at the right time because he couldn't live in a world where Appomattox was that good lol! Best team I seen period.
Buckingham was always physical when I played. Pete Goin was the head man back then.
We took 3 of Buckingham's baseball guys for our Appomattox summer baseball team and won the state championship.

No excuses, just flat out played by the best team in 2 AA in a long time ! Great team !

Richlands has a great program and has been good a very long time. Congrats on a fine season.
That team was a buzzsaw. Plain and simple. Props to them. What a team.
Richlands/Mance had the right gameplan, run when they gave it to you and complete short/medium passes to try and sustain drives and play keep away. Richlands drove the ball on their defense several times. When you get inside the 20 four times and zone away with 7 points, you're not gonna beat a team as good as Appo. Special teams also imploded. Have them right where you want them down 14-7 going into half with the momentum and then 2 special teams disasters break the back of the team and fans.
I'm actually proud of our defense. Appo really only had 2 or 3 actual scoring drives. Hard to win when you give Appo the call on a short field.
Good season Blues. Losing sucks, but use it as fuel to get right back next year.

The Raiders then put together a 99-yard drive. Scruggs rolled out and hit Devin Dews for a big gain. Dews got down inside the 5 and that led to another Appomattox score. Only two or three actual scoring drives lmao. Yeah I quess your right, 99 yard drive for Appo is a short field.

TD 2: Ball fumble gives Appo ball on the Richlands 33.
TD 3: Squib kick returned for a TD.
TD 4: Bad snap on punt. Appo ball on the Richlands 3.
TD 5: 99 yard drive.
TD 6: Richlands stopped at the Appo 20 on 4th down. 80 yard drive.
Two drives were truly impressive on the 99 yard drive and the 80 yard drive. I can even see the 43 yard one. But the other 3 were on extremely short fields and a kickoff return.
