Because the Fork Union game is not on Master schedule. Here you go...

Sept. 1 vs. Rustburg

Sept. 15 Open
Sept. 22 @ Dan River
Sept. 29 vs FUMA
Oct. 6 vs Chatham
Oct. 13 vs William Campbell
Oct. 20 @ Gretna
Oct. 27 @ Colonial Heights
Nov. 3 @ Altavista

Very unusual to have both three straight home games and three straight road games. Not sure if I've ever seen that before.

I think some games were shuffled to allow for scheduling Fork Union as our 10th game.

Is there something unusual going on there affecting the schedule? For instance, is the stadium under construction, or something of that nature?

William Fleming in Roanoke had no home games one year, I seem to recall. Victory Stadium was either gone or unplayable, and the new Fleming school complex hadn't been built yet.

I'd like to say yes, but no there's nothing unusual going on with the stadium. I have no explanation why an A.D. could allow that schedule to happen, but it's 5 away then 5 home.

Well, at least that's a nice home stand to close out the year!

I always keep an eye on and root for Tazewell. My mother grew up there, my grandparents lived there, and that's where we went every summer for vacation until I was fifteen or sixteen.
