Appomattox VS Rustburg any thoughts

Appomattox will win...Rustburg has a great young running back but that's not going to be enough.
Appo will score often !! Should be a good tune up for the Davis kid the next week !! Appo wins !!
Rustburg does not have a defense to keep up with Graves, Scruggs, etc.. The Raiders will absolutely shred the single high safety cover 2 defense that Rustburg ran last week. One offensive lineman and two running backs will keep the Devils close for a minute or two (if they are lucky) then it will turn all Appomattox. Appo wins running away by a large margin. I tend to agree with other posters on this board that the Raiders won't lose again until Heritage.
Appomattox has way, way too much offense for the young and inexperienced Rustburg defense. I would suggest driving to City Stadium and watching the Northside vs Heritage game, and getting a look at the Pioneers. The Heritage vs. Appo game will be a sure fire great game. This week the Raiders will have a running clock pretty quickly.
Maybe I have missed a post but I have not seen anyone say Appo will lose to heritage until yours.
There are at least two other posters that have made the same prediction on the 3a forum. They are entrenched with a different thread. Both teams are phenomenal and next week will be another great game for the Appomattox community. At this point I just think the Pioneers are stacked and will end a very, very impressive win streak
The more I think about the game between Appo and heritage I really believe that game could be a good one , coach smith will have the raiders ready and Bradley will have the pioneers ready could come down to turnovers , Appo should score often this week !!
To be dead honest with ya I don't have A good feeling about playing Heritage. I do think if they beat Heritage they will go undefeated into the final state championship game.
I grew up in the Concord area, and went to Appomattox when home games looked like away games. Before the PO1 and all the success we have now. I have a lot of friends that went to Rustburg and I'm glad we play them again so I can give those guys some mess. My friend has told me that this year Rustburg has a mostly JV team playing varsity due to all those that graduated last year. He said they really only have one really good lineman, and two good running backs. That being said this week will be like Alabama playing Northwest Nowhere State. How about DemRaiders......Heritage you're next!!!
DemRaiders you better be satisfied with getting the win this Friday against Rustburg because heritage is going to be celebrating a win at your house Sept 8th. #streakenders.
Everybody is entitled to their own opinion and I'll respect your support for the pioneers. But if your like me you carry a salt and pepper shaker to season your crow with. Lol
I don't have a horse in this race but my educated opinion is that Heritage is the better team on paper BUT, Appomattox still has a very capable and talented offense with Scruggs & Co. As far as the Appomattox defense goes, it's not as "talented" as the past two years but, one thing for sure is that defensive Coordinator Steven Castello will have a great scheme and have his boys in the right place.

Maybe one day you can attain a "mythical streak" too.
Like I said before. Heritage is loaded with size and speed, they're the larger school so they have more athletes to glean from so they should win. Didn't work out that way for them the last two years but maybe this is the year they beat that little 2A country school.
One thing I know for sure is, we are focused on the Red Devils this week.
Smith / Castello and company will have the boys ready for each week but it's the boys game to play.
31 teams have said the same thing (soon to be 32). 31 times they have found out what PO1 means to Appomattox. We have heard all this talk before and at the end of the day we were raising the trophy.
I may get shredded by a certain poster but I'll say like the past 2 years after week 1. 45-0 and still...Raiders won't get beat this year.
Sometimes getting shredded is the best part, you know you got em on the run lol.
28-6 with Appo about to score again. I'll say this about Rustburg. 72 and 82 are hands down their best players. I highly recommend keeping those two on the field as much as possible. Outside of them it's another win for PO1
Let me add out of all the games I have been too 72 for Rustburg is one of the best lineman I have ever seen. That kid is guaranteed 1st team all Seminole and should be all state
Sounds like you should be writing news papers or being a sports broadcaster. You the only one that is worried about a streak. That is not our focus. When we play Heritage. Our record is 0-0. Shouldnt you worry about 3 A teams and not us.....seems like yall been coming up short for a few years now. Why you worried lil ole 2A Appo?
