Are Cowboy Boots Buiness Casual?

The fiance's dad is in Oil down in Houston and he seems to wear them quite often, however, does this translate everywhere, or just down in the OK/TX/NM area? I am considering buying some because I think they're nice and comfortable, but don't want to if the North/Midwest frowns on them.

I wear mine everywhere formal or not and have all over the country. I was married in my boots and yes it was a formal wedding. Now my boots are black so I would suggest that color if you are going to wear them in all occaisins. You might be surprised at how many folks in the NE wear them as well

Not out here in SD. However, a nice pair of Rainbow flips flops would be business casual here so I'm sure it's regional a bit. Can't pry me out of flips flops if I'm not working...

I only wear boots with jeans. Boots with Dockers or slacks would make me feel like a livestock show judge, or the DJ for one of my neighbors' quinceanera.
