I was wondering if the timing of the decommit had anything to do with CMS and his old team mates being at the game last night.
Anyone there last night that might have seen anything going on???
That was BEFORE we lost out on our top 2 or 3 choices that committed elsewhere.
We have pretty much whiffed on our first choices for D line so far.
Haven't signed yet. Can't sign until Dec. 21 but so far we have zero inside d linemen committed for 2023.
UK so far hasnt recruited him which I chalked up to something they didn't like about him. They have seen him more than prob anyone else. I think the decommitment was due to the new coach. UK had Gilbert on campus Feiday and Sat of the UL weekend. They may still get him
Is Gilbert committed elsewhere or still uncommitted??

Unless he walks on, he will not be a Cat without a committable Kentucky scholarship offer.
With Brohm getting interest from UL two dl commits Purdue has we were interested in
I’d imagine when Brohm gets named at UofL, Carter (StX) will stay home.

AU fans are saying Freeze told him to find him a place. Of course they were convinced they were hiring Kiffin and Prime too.
UK for whatever reason backed off Clements. Gilbert was here for the UL weekend and they're recruiting him hard still
Brohm already turned UL down once (when they hired Satterfield) and has a nice run going at Purdue. I won't be shocked if Brohm takes the UL job, but I also would not be surprised if he avoids that mess. Right now, the Purdue job is probably a better job than UL. Of course UL boosters will try to throw a lot of money at him. They tried to do that once before but Brohm chose to go elsewhere. Purdue just played in the B10 championship game, and I don't know why he would leave now.
That is an interesting observation. Gilbert is being pushed off the Purdue commit list. Is Clements expected to follow Brohm to UL?
That's what a few have said. If so he should be visiting there this weekend. Looks like Gilbert is looking at U6 also
Hope we land him. Seems Purdue is going to get screwed big time by this coaching move.
