We were in on Stidham for a while, but as his national recruitment grew he moved away from us. Local option Sindelar was an option, but I think UK kinda had a conditional kinda of offer for him.....and ultimately he chose Purdue.

I don't the staff put a ton of resources into the position this yr......I think they are targeting some 2016 guys.

Don't know that a lot of top prospects for this class and the next that would be interested in coming to UK...

It sounds a little funny...but the QB position is the one spot where we have legit sec ability and depth...regardless of who you believe should start for whatever reasons...the fact is, all 3 have their strengths and the ability to at the very least get by as a signal caller in this league...the thing none of them have is proper quality and depth at the surrounding positions...on offense, Defense, and special teams...

No young gun slinger is going to be interested in coming until there is a decent amount of class separation from Barker...which is fine...

I would like to see the staff not worry about the QB position until a 2017...by then UK should have some good program momentum and the staff can go hard after a top and elite prospect...they'll be able to pitch UK on the upward climb, and the success of Towles and hopefully Barker...

could always go the juco route or snatch a transfer in the meantime if for some reason we became thin at the position...but until something happens we have 3 for at least 2 more seasons...

I'm not worried about not pulling in someone this yr. I would like us to pull someone next yr though. QB is the #1 position where you want to would always prefer to start an upperclassmen every yr.

What is weird is that last year we were talking about bringing in either one of Sindlear or Stidham. People thought one of these two were a lock to UK. Early on Sindlear committed to Purdue and people said that meant we were going all in on Stidham and that he would basically be ours to lose. Then suddenly it was as though we just never cared about a quarterback. Hopefully there is someone big on the board next year that we can bring in.

So we have three quarterbacks. Louisville lost their first two quarterbacks and relied on a third string QB. Surely if Bolin went down they had another option? What would be our option under that scenario?

Is Reese Ryan of Lexington Catholic not an option? He may never be a starter here but at least he would be good insurance.

Yeah, they would have taken Stidham if they could have gotten him...you ALWAYS take a top prospect if you can get them, otherwise it isn't a position of need. They'll have 4 QBs on scholarship next year...one in each class

The least of KY worries is at the QB position regardless of who starts. They're actually not worried about that position.
