Is it ? I am pretty fired up about the group coming in next year and retention from this years team .

Heck ya man, hopefully you won’t lose to the last two top 15 teams you play by 55 points like this year! Seriously though, enjoy your sweet sixteens and absolutely no chance at a title. Like I said earlier, wish we would be happy with that, but our standards are just higher.

That's always the best part of Cal being the coach. Always get to be excited about the new group of monsters coming in.

And I'm not saying this because you are a Arky fan. It's just true. The excitement will turn into anger.i can't tell you how many years it will take for y'all but it will happen. He will keep you being a supporter because he will have some freak committed for next year. It is fun I'm not going to lie. It's real fun having those guys come in. Eventually you'll see it's not even about Arkansas when it comes to Cal.

That's what I'd like to see happen. Ten is more realistic.

You people who are suddenly revisionists about John Calipari as a way of attacking Pope are delusional and pathetic.

Calipari flat out quit on Kentucky, once he got his lifetime contract, and wanted to blame the fan base -- all of us -- for the fact that he went 9-16, then lost to St. Peter's with NBA-caliber talent, then couldn't beat Jerome Tang with the National Player of the Year and an NBA guard, then decided NOT TO START two NBA lottery picks, and lost to a Horizon League team despite having about six guys drafted in the NBA and still playing there.

He screwed up Reed Sheppard's head to the point that a guy now averaging 14 ppg in the NBA looked worse than Jon Hood against some guy for Oakland who is probably a DoorDash driver today.

Calipari quit on Kentucky, and now that he wrecked our program he's putting in the effort again -- just to stick it to us and salve his own ego. That makes him a loser and a turd.

I'm not totally sold on Pope. One more year, and we'll know whether he needs to go. For that year, I might as well back him and wish him well, by way of being a faithful Kentucky fan.
But the Calipari nostalgia on this board is purely for masochists and wimps of the type who'd let someone cheat on them, steal their money, and then wish them well with a new guy.
Well said.

I hear ya and we will . The only problem with having standards like Kentucky is you very rarely and i mean rarely ever meet them .

Hence why I said it would be an upset, tough task and Zona wasn’t a good match up .

y’all got blown out by a team without its best player in the round of 32 .

I happen to think this Zona team is the best in the country which is why I picked them to win it all . Some of us can be a little more realistic.

Fun season for me
Your hall of fame coach really did a great job last night. You guys are clueless.

seems that way. Cals last TEN years here, with half of the NBA all star team, didnt even manage to get a 1 seed. We’re hoping to get back on top, getting rid of Cal was necessary, unfortunately our dope of an AD went with arguably the worst hire in UK bball history.

Hey are there any UK fans on the Arky board seeking validation for the program? I don't think we've fallen that much yet. Everything is going to be ok BBN

Arkansas fans are not looking for validation . Yall still talk about Cal on a daily basis so its amusement for us to read .
He was the previous coach here for 15 years. We know him very well. That's why you take what we are saying as opposing fans the wrong way. I feel like y'all think we are jealous. We ran Cal out because he was crap. You will win recruiting title every year. We are telling you what he is not what we hope he is for y'all.

He might not receive the same pressure over there because the standard isnt the same. He's a downgrade from Muss.

If UK had the option between Cal and Muss next year I believe 90% of BBN would take Muss.

Probably trolls. BBN doesn't want him back. And I'm not trying to make Cal out to be a terrible coach. He's a good coach just because of the talent alone that he can bring you. It can be fun/exciting. After awhile it just wears you down when you see he cares more about getting screen time in the green room than the university that he works for.

Draft night is Cals biggest night of the year
