Just to add a little perspective here. While his first two teams were terrible on the road (like worst coach in the league bad as someone said), in the last 11 road games his teams are 6-5. Pretty respectable road record. Go and look at road records for NCAA Tournament teams. I doubt if they are above .500. If they are it is close. Just saying. It is still a valid criticism at the time, but it is gradually becoming less and less valid. During that same span Kentucky is 8-3 in the last 11. That is for a Final Four team + one of the best teams in the one and done era this season. In the SEC road games going back to last season: Kentucky 8-4, Arkansas 5-7. So there is a difference. It is obvious that Kentucky is an elite program and again we are talking about a Final Four team and the runaway NC favorite vs a decent to good basketball team the last 2 years in Arkansas. He is not the worst coach in the SEC. That is an absurd statement. He may be the worst recruiting coach in the SEC though. That is a huge complaint for me. Year 4 and we still do not have a guard that can penetrate and dish at will. Have not had a alpha guard here in quite some time. And we do not have 3 NBAers on this roster. Tell me who they are? Portis is a no-brainer. Qualls? While I love Qualls, he is one dimensional. Great athlete/dunker and a great spot up, feet set shooter. Don't get me wrong that is valuable, but if you box him out and play halfway decent defense he will not get good shots. At all. Terrible off the bounce (zero handles) and sub par quickness laterally on defense. Qualls will not be drafted before late second round and if then he will only have a cup of coffee in the NBA if those other areas do not improve drastically. There is no one else close to being a legitimate NBA player on this team. They are good players, but not NBA material.
