I love cal. From the day he took the job I pulled for him to win. I hoped he would win titles and create a dynasty. It saddens me the way it played out. The first half of his time in Lex so dialed in and determined. So determined that he shot for the fences in 2015. As much as I hate how that season worked out I admire the set on cal to give it that type of run. That ruined him. He wins that title and we have atleast one other I believe. He would have been energized and focused instead of defeated. It also ruined or began the decline in fan willing to continue to deal with oad. I’m glad he’s gone. I can’t stand Arkansas so I will never pull for them unless they play one of the duke ul uncheat. But it isn’t without sadness and regret not to mention a lot of good memories. Im glad he left the way he did. Things could have been irreparable. There’s still a place for cal at UK. He will have his name retired and he will go down as a guy who had it all including an idiot athletic director to take away all incentive and enable this guy to put it on cruise

This excuse just doesn't hold water for very long. Hey Calipari, whose fault is it that you don't have more players on the roster? Even walk-ons could help in a scrimmage. Are Arkansas fans buying this?
That and what the hell do his teams do in practice to be getting so many injuries? I’m convinced he had them do the Oklahoma drill all the time.

What happened to Davis? Was he just not as good as his numbers showed now that he’s playing better competition or has Cal ruined him?
I think they just need to make him more of a focal point on offense. He only had 3 shot attempts today while he was the primary option at FAU. Sure he hasn’t been off to a blazing start to the year but he can’t really get into a rhythm without plays designed for him, needs to get the ball over Wagner at this point IMO.

You got 3 guys who all need the ball and a coach who schemes up absolutely nothing to get them the ball. just iso ball and baseline screens to get isos

Good luck waiting on Cal to draw up plays for Davis.

Good luck waiting on Cal to switch pg duties to Davis over Wagner.
In 2017-2018 We had to wait halfway through the season before this idiot decided to start Shai Gilgeous-Alexander over freaking Quade Green. Cal seemed pissed about having to start SGA too. Davis isn't near the player that SGA is and Wagner is a little better than Green so i don't ever expect he will run point for Ark.

Davis gets to be the poor sap who stands around hoping for the ball while Cal’s NBA project Fland and his favorite DJ get all the shots. Plus Thiero has come on as a huge scoring piece so he will be standing in the corner useless most of the year.

Watching this game was like the perfect illustration of why having great 3-pt shooters is so important.

Covered up a myriad of sins and was just a gut shot toward the end of the game when Arkansas was trying to counter with difficult 2-pointers.

From what I’ve read the 2 guys he has committed next are both guys that want/need the ball in their hands and are a terrible fit with each other. Maybe Wagner will be back so he can have 3 again, lol .

Cal wouldn't play two lottery picks ahead of Wagner last year. He's not going to prioritize playing Davis ahead of him either. He has miles to go before he sleeps, and promises to Dajuan to keep.

wonder if Cal is realizing his stubbornness just cost him the best coaching job he'll ever have
Cal got the UK job because he was considered an innovator at Memphis with the dribble drive and high level recruiting. It worked here for about half his tenure the college basketball caught up with it and Cal got keft behind.

Maybe you should call into Cal’s coaching show and tell that to him or whichever assistant he has doing the show. That is if they are even taking calls.

I’m sure Cal will spew out their injuries and getting healthy and how they are one of the youngest teams in the country. Then Jay Bilas interrupts the interview and reminds Cal that Cooper Flagg is only 17.
What??!! Cooper Flagg is only 17 years old??!! I'd never heard that. 😉😂

Cal’s post game was meaningless.

We did not play winning basketball. We’ll be fine.

We did not create enough threes because we did not find people. And, yet, our game plan was to take it to the rim. But, what did we do to start the game? Take threes. You won’t believe him, but that as their game plan going into the game. Take it to the rim,
like they did in the second half.
