You bullied him in his own thread man. That was ********. Deal with your frustrations fairer ways.

I like you as a poster but you bullied him, I don’t like it, and I told him he shouldn’t have to put up with it. That’s the reality we live in.
I’d didn’t bully him. I expressed an opinion. I’m not crying that you’re expressing yours directly to me either. You’re allowed to have your opinion and I’m allowed to have mine. If I thought I did something wrong to someone I’d apologize. I think you’re being a tad overly sensitive here. The CDS stuff is wearing old around the fanbase. We are not in the Cal era anymore

i’ll tell you. that’d be our team if cal was still here. they have a crap record and are probably going to the nit. so there’s a “well, at least we don’t have that crap at uk anymore” comparison.
i get that and like I said I get why that would make the loss for better for some people (the people who still care about the pope vs cal dynamic)…I don’t see how it makes losing at home feel better. Losing is supposed to feel bad. I do think the Kansas loss helps because it directly affects me —- Arkansas does not. I will say again, I wonder when people will move on. The cal era is over. We are better off than we were so I moved on. The ironic part of this is the same logic is being used but in a different way. Some people say the loss stings less because Arky lost aka we are better off without Cal. I’m thinking yeah duhhhhhhh that was obvious the entire year so how does that feel better. I already long moved on.

not everyone, believe it or not, thought losing cal was addition by subtraction. some folks talked about losing the top talent pipeline as a risk. in any event, let those who haven’t moved on enjoy the hogs losing. it doesn’t negate ours. it’s just a very convenient emotional deflection, backed by the validation that, indeed, cal cannot efficiently coach a basketball team.

I get that but you know what I’m saying. Cal being a deficient coach should have already been beyond obvious. Anyone comparing Pope and Cal at this point need a wellness check

I never have appreciated the concept that another team we don't like just lost so that lessens the sting of our loss. However with Cal and Arkansas fans I'll make the exception.
Many national media pundits made it seem BBN was this bad group of fans. No, we recognized over multiple seasons some huge character and coaching flaws with Cal. From dissing the highest to lowest level of Kentucky fans, to outright stubborn ego unwilling to making changes to favoritism and on and on.
When he left to Arkansas their fans rejoiced suggesting we were spoiled idiots. Cal f'd us leaving the program with no team. Coach Pope in my view lived up to performing miracles recruiting and developing a competitive team. Meanwhile Cal and all his arrogance along with what primarily would have been the Kentucky team documents we were right every time they lose.

So I hate our losses and celebrate his. You can do both I give you permission.

it’s not a coaching comparison. it’s a program comparison, like i said, as a validation that the right outcome occurred.

remember too, it’s not like there’s not bad blood. they beat us in rupp pulling out a crazy game they seem incapable of ever duplicating. that’s annoying as heck.

I hate that we lost to Arkansas. That said, there is no program comparison, there is no coaching comparison.
Arkansas is a trash program. Kentucky is an elite program, top 4 minimum, number one overall to me.
Cal was a great coach at one point but he’s beyond washed up and cannot adjust to the modern game. Pope on the other hand, worked absolute magic this year despite some of the craziest obstacles I’ve ever seen. Losses hurting is healthy and I rest in knowing Pope takes it harder than any fan could.

Thank you Sir 👍. I was ready to move on after we kicked his butt at Rupp….(sigh) 😡 Now I’d just settle for him not making the NCAA tournament this year.

It does lessen the blow for me and for so many reasons:
-I'm a competitor
-Cal did it his way the last 5 years here and refused to listen to anyone and we had way too many embarrassing moments thanks to his stubbornness.
-I want Arkansas to deal with the same crap we dealt with
-last thing I want is for Cal to be successful at anything when he **** the bed here
-those Arkansas fans trolled the **** out of us when they "stole our coach". I want them to wish they never "stole" him.
-I don’t want a bunch of trolling *** Arkansas fans over here swinging from vines talking smack
-I don’t even want Cal to have a chance to win a game, or more in the NCAAT
-I want Cal's stubbornness to eat him as he tries to tell another fanbase it’s not his fault.
-Cal took most of our players and recruits, he had his pick of the litter and it would have sucked if he dominated with them when he stunk here, but he's eating **** and I'm sorry, but that makes me smile. He was driving our program into the ground, so ge can suck it.

Hats off to you guys that aren't very competitive and have come to grips with how Cal treated us and this program and how he took a job at a rival program in the same conference, but that ain't me, I want to see him lose at everything he does.

Personally, I just don't care. That will be doubly so after this tournament. As long as Pope can get a win in the tourney and Cal doesn't. I'll be happy.

I think things will change next year, when Cal doesn’t have a roster full of ex UK players.

It just blows my mind that we got out of complete misery with Cal and some are right back at it. Cant take em’ seriously.

Mississippi St finishes at Arkansas. The Cats may need the Hogs to win that game to not have to play on Wednesday in the SEC tourney

Yep, that one actually has bearing.

Problem still lies in Duke has a chance of gaining a title on us.
UNC and UConn have 6, does Duke getting its 6th change much? We'd still be 2 up on other blue bloods not named UCLA.

I don’t have a dog in your fight but CDS has a long way to go. Ricky P stopped coaching here almost 30 years ago and he is still talked about. If you’re tired of Cal talk less than a year later, you better settle in for the long haul or stop clicking on threads.

This loss will hurt them. They got beat badly by the worst team in conference.
Man how things have changed for the SEC in basketball. The worst team ( SC )would probably finish 2nd or 3rd in the ACC. SC gives Louisville all they want IMO.
7 years ago no other fan base in the SEC game a squat about basketball. Agenda??
How did Sankey turn it around so fast???

The rub is that his deficient coaching was obvious to us.
National media pundits denied this fact.
At some points, once again, saying that we would be sorry for running him off.
We are not sorry. Eat it 🐄.
We will stop spiking the ball after everyone acknowledges what we were trying to tell them.
