Someone must have had a little talk with Mr. "Locked-on" because he was much milder in the last one.
It's obviously from before the season. That's the whole point. They were cocky and talking all that trash early and now the fun is already over just a couple months in.
The only thing I fear is that he's going to have a few guys playing with a chip on their shoulders to beat us. I think the home atmosphere will cancel a lot of that out, but, I could see it becoming a chippy game.
If I was Ark fans I’d be concerned about making the NCAAT. I think 6-10 is what they are looking at in the SEC. That would put them at 17-14 and needing a win in the SECT. And we know what Cal thinks about that tournament.
Yeah maybe those clowns will enjoy draft night come June.

I think you're right, he's a lot calmer in this one and is actually trying to defend Cal in some parts of this. I'm a little more than halfway through watching it right now.

Calipari made his own bed with Arkansas fans. Guy took a job, set the expectation that Arkansas would be Kentucky... And he didn't mean bad 2020-2024 Kentucky, but Kentucky.... It was Cal U. Calipari made Kentucky. Nothing would change.
He probably believed it, but he's the one responsible for setting expectations that high. Now he has to own it. Meanwhile, whether he accepts it or not, Arkansas is not Kentucky.. Kentucky's brand is not going to hide him.

Yep. That was the issue being discussed here at the time. Everybody wanted him gone, but we knew the only way it could happen is if someone else offered him enough to give up his crazy UK contract ….and surely NOBODY is that stupid, right?

You know, 9 times out of ten, this scenario doesn’t go the way it is going right now. This is that 1 time that it went exactly how we hoped it would go.
I mean, he lost millions doing something stupid, is making 4 million dollars less per year, he got rid of his best recruiter and best offensive guru and replaced them with 2 duds, but he got his pick of the litter for his roster. Still yet, we knew Cal had lost his fastball and had no interest in putting in the work to change the narrative.
But still, throughout life, things like this always seem to go a lot differently than you think they're going to go and it's head shaking.
But no, this is going even better than we thought. I knew Arkansas was going to fail, but I didn't know it would be this bad and I had no clue we would see Mark Pope pour salt in their wounds by having the season he is having.
My only hope is that this continues on the trajectory it is on. This is almost too good to be true.

Johnell Davis’ decline has been striking. That dude looked like a big time baller all last season and during FAU’s final four run a couple years …but now looks completely lost playing for Cal.

Yeah, that guy wants subscribers and likes and is trying to put together a respectable channel, but yiu can't do that and trash the players like that, whether they're paid professionals, or not.

Olivier Sarr did not exactly live up to the initial expectations coming in, but he wasn't a dud. He did not have the season we expected, but he was at least decent. He should have been allowed to step out and shoot threes early in that season.
Fland is already gone. I’d bet Wagner leaves too if he can get a favor G league deal.
