I can't see it but I guess if he wants a fresh start but why leave FSU where your competition is Clemson and UL compared to the SEC West where it's a battle every year and you have to battle Bama.

Much easier to win the ACC and have a shot at the play-off. Why go to LSU and have to take on Bama every year and...while this year other teams are down, playing the likes of Auburn, Arkansas, A/M, Fla, UGA, ut, etc...means you are playing some of the overall best teams in the nation. I'd dangle LSU in front of the FSU brass and work it for a hefty raise.

Three questions keep coming up regarding the ongoing LSU search and the dominoes it could topple: Would Jimbo Fisher leave FSU for LSU? If not Jimbo, who would LSU pursue? And who would replace Fisher at FSU if he left?

Let’s go one at a time in breaking down the situation with information fueled by those in the college football world.

Well there is the Saban/Bama thing at LSU, but there is the Clemson/Dabo thing going on with FSU. Saban is mid 60's, he won't be there many more years regardless of the success, Dabo is still a young guy and Clemson has passed FSU in many eyes. OM had a couple of good teams, but the NCAA investigation is showing why, with a good coach Auburn is no threat. So the way I see it, either place is really a 1 game season.

If he doesn't go to LSU, Herman is their first choice, but I think they get outbid for him. Next is Larry Fedora at UNC and Gundy who many LSU fans would like to have, I guess Gundy would depend on how much Walmart money OSU wants to spend to keep him.

If he does leave, I think FSU would probably go after the same guys LSU would if he stayed at FSU.

What would be ironic is him leaving FSU to get away for Dabo and Dabo takes the Bama job when Saban steps down.

if the coach is scared of playing against the best, then do you really want him as a coach? Win the ACC, you may get to the playoffs, but win the SEC, you are a lock.

Think Fedora's on Baylor's short list too.

Gundy would be my first choice if I were LSU. He'd kill it there.

How has Clemson passed FSU? No championships, no postseason win over an SEC.squad, only one appearance in the playoffs/ title game and just now beat FSU twice in a row. FSU was beating up on Clemson, has an undefeated title season with win over SEC champ and then followed it up with another undefeated regular season and ACC title and football playoff appearance.

LSU is not a superior job. If anything, it's a lateral move at best.
