LOL. I have yet to be in a pool in Hawaii, though the 3 places I've stayed at each had one. I've just been too busy going here, doing this, etc. I'm not one to lay around while on vacation, except late at night when catching up on the board. (If you want to put an asterisk on my pool statement, I have been in a hot tub located near the pool 2 times so far.)

As for the sun, that has been surprisingly sparse in Hawaii. Part of that is due to unseasonably cooler and wetter weather. The other part is that I've spent as much time in the mountains as on the coast, and the mountains do seem to cause precipitation to fall, as we've had numerous instances of driving from partly cloudy conditions along the coast/in the valley, to getting poured on in the mountains.

I still have over a week to go. The next few days I'm going to be in the volcano region on the Big Island, and it looks as though there's going to be a lot of rain in that area through Monday (my luck).
