We did not lose the last two games because we could not score. We lost because we could not contain the run versus Ashbrook and the pass versus Huss. Both of those teams are pretty good too. Be patient with this season and watch out for years to come. This program is on the right path. Remember how bad it was before Devine? We had a head coach in the press box, fans with "Need a Coach" shirts and freaking White helmets. Be patient. I keep reading about this kid may leave or that kid. They would be stupid to leave with what is coming in the future.

I know if I was in the same situation as our freshmen and sophomores were in, I would want to be the group that turns the program around. I wouldn't look for the easy way out. Because if they bust their a** the next 2-3 years, and get things back on track, they can look back when they're old and grey, and say "We did that." Some people are acting like we've been a terrible team for the last decade. Let's remember, this team isn't too far removed from the "Beam Years" and also won 10 games last year. These kids should give all they have for the rest of the year, to gain the valuable experience needed to turn things around starting next year. I think Devine and Company can keep them focused on that.
