I tried to look to see if anyone has posted this game. I couldn’t find anything on it. My apologies if someone has already started a thread on this and I didn’t see it. But this to me is a huge game. 4-0 Ashbrook vs 3-0 South Point. Last year I was at this game with Ashbrook winning it 17-14. I feel this could be another squeaker. Will be good one I’m sure with lot of fans. Any thought on this game. What can we expect to see.

Ashbrook is going to see one heck of a motivated team on Friday. Will be important for them to handle the first couple possessions and not find themselves down. Chasing South Point on the scoreboard is a nightmare.
Blee was out injured last week but will probably be back this week his backup went for 150+ and 3tds I think

That’s big talk from a fan of a 1-3 team, who has became a glorified feeder school to the REAL CC teams. “Tyyan to be relevant” your team hasn’t brought a state championship to Lawndale since the Clinton administration. Instead of worrying about these two teams you should probably focus on how the Bulldogs bark has turned into a quiet whimper.
These next two weeks will make or break SP season , we will know a heck of a lot about SP after these two weeks

I think SP is gonna be on a mission vs AB... I predict a 27-21 SP Victory.
SP matches up much better this year with Ashbrook than last. I expect a close game but think SP wins.

SP having a new front 7 on defense and Ashbrook being a year older with the same team plus some key new recruits dressed out to play is a better match up?
You might have been on to something with this, this now makes 2 games where their run defense looks very shaky.

Stopping the run is key to defeat both teams..Chargers got 2 weeks to figure the best run stopping combinations and yes I’m overlooking Forestview
Against South Point...discipline and hit your assigned man every time. I dont know if Lloyd still does it, but during SP week, he was a lot more involved with the defense and put the players in the right assignments and who to follow and hit each play.
Against Ashbrook...if the defensive line is aggressive and get a push, you stop the running between the tackles they mostly do. If #0 is in the backfield, its going to the outside. Unless multiple people were out, this is the smallest size defensive and offensive lines I can ever remember seeing from them. #52 was aggressive and the only person I saw consistently getting to the 2nd level.
Ashbrook was big on both lines last year I assumed the same for this year..
Ashbrook could possibly be your toughest game outside of Weddington.... potentially
