Proud to say that not a single one of my email addresses or my name returned any "hits" when entered into the search engine.

I can't imagine how anyone with an email address that ends in dot.gov or dot.mil could be so damned stupid to use that as their "contact info" for a website like that. I wonder how many men have been moved to the couch (or the local motel) as a result of the list dump?

Josh Duggar can't keep out trouble. Looks like he had two accounts on there.
I saw the same thing. Don't worry, in the next few days you'll start seeing posts on Facebook and the like complaining about how the media is just out to get that fine Christian family.

No lie? His parents must be having a cow. How will they ever get TLC to give them another show now? Better have that state trooper give him another lecture. No, wait...

That guy is in need of treatment. A) why did he molest children as a teen? B) why did he engage in high risk and illicit behavior as an adult?

No but [email protected] was.....

Also don't bash an entire family for the acts of one person. THe rest of the family could very well be outstanding humans. No need to drag them through the mud because of one idiot and hypocrite.
First of all, I didn't bash anyone except the people who are so died in the wool and ignorant as to support child molesters and adulterers no matter the evidence presented. And second, I'll go ahead and bash whoever I want, including the members of a family who hid for years the extent of the sexual abuse going on in their household and recently made excuses for their son's repeated behavior.

Vito,

I'll bash his parents for engaging in an ongoing cover-up of his activities, THEN reporting it to the police AFTER the Statute of Limitations had run. They basically chose to keep their pervy son from having to answer to the authorities for his action, all the while forcing his victims to live under the same roof, occupy the same space and face their sexual offender every day!

Now, those girls are basically defending him and I have very little doubt that is because their parents brainwashed them (something akin to "Stockholm Syndrome) into forgiving him and probably taking the blame onto themselves. Imagine someone 8 -12 yrs older is molesting you and your parents take steps to protect him from any legal trouble while telling you to stay hushed-up about what happened.

Do you think that after you grew up and moved away from that crazy situation at some point you wouldn't have a moment of clarity and realize that your parents were ready to sacrifice your innocence and childhood to protect your molesting sibling. Because that's exactly what they did, by putting their one son above at least 3 of their daughters and for that, I'll direct a great deal of scorn on those a-holes because they desperately deserve it!

The other siblings, I will not bash - they probably had NO recourse except to go along with what their parents taught them or ordered them to do. If anyone needs counseling, it's probably them and if anyone deserves sympathy it's the victims, not the pervy son and his enabling parents.

Man, this got out of hand. Vito, I'm not sure who else you could have been talking to with your "don't bash the family" comment, but fine. And to be clear, I didn't mean you were "died in the wool and ignorant"; I was talking about the people making the FB posts I referenced earlier--those people who are the equivalent of that "leave Britney alone" kid who know nothing about the family except that they day they are Christians and so should be defended. Sorry if that seemed aimed at you.

Last, I don't see anyone attacking Christians generally in this thread--only attacking people who make a big deal of their religion and sit on family values boards but then secretly molest kids, commit adultery, and keep all that stuff hidden.

Sorry then corn I read that at a stressful point in the day also. My post was at AggiesBoy and there is another thread on the corral. I do think it is wrong to label the other kids and that was more what I was trying to convey. I also thought you were lumping me in the FB group you were talking about. As far as I am concerned Josh and the parents are fair game.

Interesting that you only mention men here. It takes two to tango.

The ratio is something like 8 men to every 1 woman. Secondly, I'm fairly certain that the women on that site aren't actually "lonely, bored housewives" (there's plenty of places that do not charge to list if you're looking for a "hook-up") - they are most likely "pros" who are using the site to advertise their wares.

That's because women are better at lying about it and covering it up. Even after the relationship is over they'll lie about it. Men won't, "yeah I cheated, so what?" Is basically the mindset.

Whoa, JonnyVito. For convenience, here is what i posted in response to your post that the boy had two accounts on ashley madison. I attacked no one in the family other than the boy, mom and dad.

And i took a sideswipe at the trooper whom mom and dad called in to "counsel" the boy by giving him a stern lecture about the sins of fondling little girls. Recall that trooper himself is now serving a 52-year sentence for child pornography.

I saw your post this afternoon about christianity being attacked and i didn't respond because I thought, "well, he's not mad at me." Now i see in post 15 you do have an issue which is why i reposted my earlier post.

If you were having a bad afternoon, no worries. I don't mind being asked to defend something I said, but not if i didn't say it.

I don't think it is surprising in the least. I'm sure there are plenty of husbands who know that there is a good chance their wives will see emails sent to their personal email account. Their work email account would be less likely to cause their sneaking around to be outed. Now, I understand that it is not that difficult to create a 3rd email account, but not everyone is tech savvy.

BeenJammin,

EXCEPT for the fact that virtually anyone with a dotgov or dotmil or work email address should expect that there employer will eventually monitor or review their emails. There is a huge likelihood of being discovered at some point. Unless covered by contract, your employer has every legal right to monitor your website usage, your company emails, etc.

You don't exactly have to be "tech savvy" to go the library, set up some generic email account and never access it from your home computer.

Carrolton Poke,

I doubt I'm the only one that figured that much was true - before the hack release. There's several other websites and apps out there for people who are just looking for a hook-up, and most you don't have to pay for. It's like what was pointed out to me 14 yrs ago by a Russian friend of mine, about these "mail-order bride" places from Russia - "if you want to marry an ex-hooker, they're the perfect place for you to find a wife."

I guess I've always operated under the assumption that Ashley Madison was basically just a high-end pimping service and the women listed were all available for hire. I had no idea about their money back guarantee like Josh Duggar used, where you could pay them an extra amount and were assured you would get laid. That really cements that thought in my head. How could they guarantee anything unless they knew the women on the site were hookers and a sure thing to respond to virtually any man who contacted them?

I replied in the thread on the corral. I honestly wasn't upset with you or thought you were bashing Christians or the other siblings. I just made a post and saw it start to snowball a bit and just wanted to make sure it didn't turn into a bash all the Duggars. I whole heartily agree that this Josh guy is a total loser and am embarrassed he represents someone of faith. I also think the parents are out of touch and really only care about keeping their "holy" image. I do think the rest of those kids are good kids though and maybe the only fault is the brain washing the parents have done. I honestly wasn't upset with anyone and that was why I was so quick to snap at cornichon (that plus a stressful day) which I am sorry for, I overacted regardless.

You greatly underestimate how lazy the average individual is. These guys are thinking..."My employer has never once given me any indication that they monitor my emails, why would they start now". Then they think, "Even if they do, my boss is my buddy. He will probably either ignore my Ashley Madison emails or we will have a good laugh about it over a beer"

Going to the library and setting up a fake email account is too much effort for most guys. In addition, their wives will probably wonder where they were for the hour they spent getting to the library, checking emails and getting home. The wife might suspect that the husband is having an affair....:).
