1) if you could travel in time to live in any time period for 10 years, what time period would you choose?
2) if you could have a 2-hour conversation with any 3 people (real or fictional) who would they be?
3) how many waves of 5 12-year olds could you fight off with your bare hands before you fall?
When I got married. I wouldn't get married again. For one thing, I wouldn't have her interrupt me when I want to watch a football game.

1) I’ve always liked the wild west time period. What a time for adventure.

2) Thomas Jefferson, Elon Musk, and Pope John Paul II.

3) in my prime, maybe 4-5. Today, maybe 1.

Elon Musk. I would rip his space fantasies to shred! Same for Peter Thiel who once said something to the effect of 'we were promised flying cars and all we got was 140 characters."

Forget flying cars. I'm still waiting for the f*ckin' jet packs we were supposed to have over 50 years ago. Baby steps...

On my 1,000th post on this site, a number of years ago, I did an "Ask Me Anything" thread. So, I am doing that for my 2,00th post, as well. It was kind of fun for me and there were some willing takers that asked some good questions. Same criteria as before: You can literally ask me anything you want. I will give an honest and candid response. Some responses may quick and to the point. Some may take a bit more 'splainin to do. Some may be serious. Some may be snarky. Might even get a funny one, if you are lucky.

Fire away!

What is the meaning of life?

Live long and prosper? Seriously though: God, family, friends, and country. Get the first one taken care of and the rest tend to fall in line. Get the first 2 down and whatever you personally want for a meaningful life is likely fulfilled - regardless of how many years you get on this earth. The last 2 would just add to the pleasure.

Can you prove heaven and/or hell is real beyond books and the creative minds of Hollywood? Or when we die, does our life simply extinguish into the lightless abyss?

Why am I skiing on mostly manmade snow? The local ski area did put snow making guns all the way to the top of the hill a few years ago, so we get all 2250 vertical feet, but it gets pretty boring real fast skiing one run over and over. We only have about 10-12 inches of snow in most places. You better stay on the runs that are open because our area is built on Basalt rock in lots of places. Rock and skis are a bad combo. One day the last couple of weeks here in town we had temps in the high temps when my mother-in-law living in the Raleigh, NC suburb of Cary had 17 degrees and 6 inches of new snow. My cousin who had lived in Breckenridge, CO for fifty years says this is the first year she could walk downtown from her house wearing tennis shoes in December and January

What sort of "proof" are you looking for? Some sort of scientific equation, real life experience, etc.?

FWIW, the bible says it is real. Is it exactly the way Hollywood describes? Highly doubtful. Almost guaranteed it is not the way Hollywood depicts it. Everyone finds out soon enough. Keep the faith, my friend.

Because weather is not the same day-after-day, or year-after-year, or decade-after-decade, or century-after-century. I would tell your cousin that if she lives another 10,000 years she will probably remember at least 1 other time when she can wear tennis shoes to walk to downtown Breckenridge in Dec/Jan.

I've lived in Nebraska for most of my 62 years. I can remember plenty of times when I have gone out golfing at the local course in Dec/Jan/Feb while wearing shorts and a quarter-zip. Nothing is ever the same.

To piggyback on this one…

would you rather give the first 9/10 of the bj, or the last 1/10 including the finish?
These were always a fun topic in the field. 2 I specifically remember:

- What is your minimum reasonable price to suck a donger? can't tell you how many times I heard "pay off my truck and we have a deal" as an answer.
- You're 2 inches inside your mom and your dad is 2 inches inside you. Do you go forward or backwards to get out? A lot of funny answers from that one too.

Would the world be better off today had Germany won the First World War in 1914?

No stalemate in the trenches, no war reparations on Germany, No Hitler, No Holocaust, No Cold War, American Isolation continues, Soccer is Football and is the premier sport. No Husker football greatness but no Husker football suck also.

1) $1 million, or more if it is a BBC.
2) Backward.

No way to know. The world could be even worse under that scenario. You don't know that Hitler never comes to power. Maybe he does, sooner than real history, and all that stuff happens anyway.
