At least they’re consistent

You gotta hand it to these guys in 2026. They’re nothing if not consistent. Reid misses a wide-open three at the top of the key to cut the lead to four, Then he won’t shoot again in the second half. Tosses the ball into the bench, then dribbles with no aim into the bigs. Page helps on the block for no reason and leaves an ace shooter wide open for three. Goes to the bench, we don’t see him again for a while. Green hits an outside shot but his next one gets blocked due to the molasses release.

Oh well, Nebraska basketball looks like Indiana football. Just really well coached, in the right spots, make adjustments, hit the open shots. Formula for success. I might blame Collins for some mistakes in the portal, but we know he can coach with some defensive help on his bench. This crew just isn’t listening, changing, or improving. They’re gonna wear their stubbornness in the L column. At least they got paid.

Some folks really wanted to explain away what was obviously lacking in Page’s effort or focus or agility on D. Well, after this play, he never came back to the game. Look at that box score for a guy who might the most talented big man NU has seen in decades. Some guys are available in the transfer portal for a reason.

Yup. Page is a lazy dude who clearly is entitled and won’t ever amount to ****.

During one of the timeouts, there is a scoreboard video called “elevator pitch” sponsored by Kellogg. The schtick is that two players go head to head giving their pitch on a topic, and then the crowd votes on the winner by their applause. Past debates have been on MJ vs LeBron or Drake vs Kendrick Lamar. Today’s pitch was Page vs Angelo on the topic of, “who would you want taking the game-winning shot for the team?” Angelo’s choice was Nick. Page’s choice was … himself — “cuz I got that dog in me.” Needless to say, Angelo won the pitch.

It was a little weird although I liked the self confidence. Kind of a weird question though…

impressed by Nebraska players physicality. Some of them had the frame of TE’s, looked really strong. In spite of that NU matched up decently, at least in the first half, the Huskers just totally dominated in the 2nd half. Nebraska remains undefeated and should move up in the rankings. Going to keep an eye on Nebby’s upcoming games to see if they can maintain their high level of play against other top BigTen opponents like Michigan and Illinois.

Yes, looked that up and it was a close win about a month ago and they’ve also had narrow wins over OSU and MSU. They’ve found ways to win the tight games so far to have maintained their unblemished record. Didn’t realize Nebby’s program had improved to this degree where they are dominating decent programs like Oregon.

I don’t want to spoil your extensive research, but Oregon stinks this year.
