I had AT&T/Direct TV and totally hated it. Plus, if you ever have it, and try to get out of a contract, post again for expert advice on what you need to do. I would be surprised if AT&T wouldn't force you to use the DTV dish.

With my AT&T, they literally offered a great starting deal, but it seemed as those they price gouged me significantly every three months. I'm with Xfinity now.

Have it and love it. HUGE CAVEAT: I'm locked in on beta testing prices. 100+ channels for $35 a month and HBO for $5 a month. When my folks switched to streaming, we looked at it and my plan was around $75-$80 a month. Not worth that. They went with YouTube TV and it suits them well, tho they do "borrow" my AT&T login from time to time for channels they don't get.

I looked it to it, ended up going with Hulu. The price was one key, but also the fact that AT&T stream won't allow more than 3 streams at once. Hulu gives me unlimited (for a small $10 price). I called and asked AT&T if they could do this, they said "nope". I said "ok".

Yeah. I think mine might be 2 streams and they police it WELL.
