Probably depends on what those equal pieces are, safe to say Manny isn't getting votes no matter the set up here
I liked Myles Johnson a lot, but he was frequently in foul trouble, averaged less than 22 minutes a game, shot almost 40%, not from 3, but from the foul line, averaged 6.8 points and 7.4 rebounds per game and blocked 1.5 shots per game. He did shoot 60% from 2. For most of his career he was the best we had at the 5, but these numbers don’t exactly shout out first team Big Ten.
I predict Gurdak will be more impactful and fortunately there are some options behind him at the 5 with this year’s team.
This poll is premature. How about this season we vote after we see Gurduk for a season
Defensively he was huge. 2.4 blocks per game his jr year but most important he deterred offense. No one wanted to challenge him. In 2019-20 he lead the Big Ten in defensive rebounding rate and total defensive rating. No other player on that Rutgers team lead the Big Ten in any advanced stat.
How about we don’t. Suppose I say that on October 24, 2026 you have these four centers to choose from for the season given what you know, which is of course limited.If you had to choose one, who would it be. Yes, this involves considerable speculation, and I apologize if this offends you. An option would be to simply not respond.
It has to be 100000% obvious we’d go with Myles who is a proven B1G starter - the glue to our defense and if we had a better offensive system I believe he could have scored more

The poll question was who would you want on the floor right now as your 5. Based only on two exhibition games it’s risky to take Gurdak over a much more known center like Myles Johnson or Omoruyi and their known abilities, but Gurdak looked so impressive with his ability to score, rebound and court sense that I would go with him.
Not 10000000000000000% to me. Choosing today--which was the point of the question--I'd roll the dice and go with CG.

As someone who has done a considerable amount of polls, I love this one. CG could well be the best 5 we have had since Hinson its great to watch people ***** about your format when it doesn't conform to their logic

Over Pikiel’s coaching career who else would you include at center C.J. Or Shaq? Not a long list of Big Ten level centers to choose from.
