Heard that VT will be fired. Not 100% sure but the person that said this is someone who has those connections.

For anyone who wants Louisville to FARRR that sonofabeyitch, it looks like you're getting your wish. Hard to go back now after this FSU flirtation and whatever is going on with that.

I’ve heard they are negotiating the non-compete. Hopefully Louisville will get some compensation from FSU. Regardless it appears Tyra is out.

Seriously though guys. Monday, Board of Trustees meeting, no action. Tuesday, Athletic Board of Directors meeting, no action. Wednesday, another Board of Trustees meeting scheduled for 4:00.

Whats up? Hope this administrative drama does not run into Fridays basketball game against Depaul.

Very likely the meetings were called to review status of negotiations between Tyra’s lawyers and the university’s, and if needed to provide the university’s lawyers with feedback to negotiate the best possible outcome for the university.

This is the same Board who wasted a lot of legal fees pursuing claims against Dr Ramsey; I have very little confidence in the decisions coming from UL based on the legal counsel they appear to rely upon.

Bevin’s appointed board.

UofL gets no compensation from FSU. However Tyra agrees to cooperate with any personnel or NCAA issues (ie: the school thinks we will get hammered by NCAA and Mack’s job in legitimate peril if he gets sanctioned with Level 2 violations)

The BOT simply rolled over. At least get some compensation.

I don’t think getting much compensation was in the cards. And some legal crap slinging over the non-compete wasn’t worth it. Getting his cooperation will be more important.

Doubt there was any willingness on FSU’s part to provide compensation. Not as though Tyra is a no-brainer, home run hire for them to begin with. Were there hurdles to overcome - I’d bet they would simply move on from him.

At many points during the last week, many of our fans on here and other places wanted Tyra gone anyways. No reason to impede that wish.

That’s because of the misinformation that he was some kind of UK plant… He refused to take 2 150k bonuses, took a $350k reduction, and donated property that is now the Alley. I think he obviously did care more about U of L athletics than people gave him credit for. What a **** show he inherited and had to deal with.

No one believes the UK plant ****. Did it bother some he wasn’t one of us, so to speak, yes. But a UK plant? That’s dumb. He did have Bevin stench on him from an illegally appointed BOT, however. His charitable declinations of a bonus during Covid, a lot of people sacrificed during the pandemic. I guess Vince deserves a medal. After his glorious 4 year run, he, UofL super fan, runs to a conference foe.
