He should be allowed to post, up until the point Nancy sobers up, and is able to walk the 400 feet over to the Senate and hand over the documents.

Agreed. Nancy and the House has not impeached Trump yet. They may not impeach him at all. We know they're not going to at least until sometime next year. I'm starting to think they're not going to do it.

Professor country89 hasn't won the bet yet. He may not, ever.

He lost a bet.

I will say this, as much as I disagree with literally every single thing he posts, and as much as I think he simply makes no sense whatsoever and as much as I think he cannot make a coherent argument, I respect him for not posting up to this point.

According to the Constitution, he is not impeached until articles have been forwarded to the Senate and formally naming impeachment managers to present the case in the Senate.

Until that happens, he has not been officially impeached. So as it often happens on this board, you're wrong. The leftist, MSM and ignorant leftists can't change the fact that he hasn't been impeached yet.

The Constitution is correct. I had nothing to do with it.

Yes...we both believe Trump was indeed impeached....and you won the bet.......
BUT.....Noah Feldman says that legally.......Trump has not been impeached as of yet:
"Impeachment as contemplated by the Constitution does not consist merely of the vote by the House, but of the process of sending the articles to the Senate for trial. Both parts are necessary to make an impeachment under the Constitution."

The impeachment "process" is not complete.....the president has indeed been IMPEACHED. The process includes the trial. Sorry.

Article 1, Section 2
"The House of Representatives shall chuse their speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment."

Sole power - means they don't rely on the Senate to impeach.

They are really trying to stretch the definition of "impeachment" and have it include the "impeachment process" which includes the trial. Sad, really.

It's like them saying Team A didn't actually score the TD until they kick the extra point.....[roll]

Not at all.

It's more like having a breakaway for certain touchdown, and spiking the ball on the 2 yard line.

Oh, so the House did NOT vote to impeach Trump? Ok. Thanks.

EDIT: Regardless of the Senate vote, Trump will forever be "impeached". Being found "not guilty" does not erase the impeachment. Sorry.

EDIT 2: My football analogy = Impeachment (TD) = Conviction (EP).....really that simple.

and to add to this when the senate does not convict Trump, which we all know is the outcome then KKKuntry should go until after the 2020 election...put up or shut up

Back to the grand jury parable - it would be like a jury voting to indict, but not handing the result over to the clerk. If it's not filed, it never happened.

Except in your parable, the clerk isn't the "jury" like the Senate is.......Face it.....regardless of if the articles would EVER be turned over to the Senate, Trump has indeed been impeached.

This is a dogshit strategy. Accept the fact he’s been impeached.

Keep the focus on Pelosi and the Dem’s 180 with respect the severity urgency, and necessity.

Wut? "jury" for the trial wasn't even mentioned in my parable. They never come into play, because the clerk didn't file the indictment and get the perp walked.

You aren't too good at this are you?

That works for me. It doesn't matter if he was or wasn't. Results all end up the same.

The press won't focus on either, though.

Reread your post.....you said:

I can't help the fact that you guys want to try to rewrite history while it's happening by taking "impeachment" away from Trump's legacy.

You're confusing the grand jury who's output is the indictment, vs. the trial jury who's output would be the guilty/not guilty finding. The Senate isn't the grand jury.

What if he doesn't think that Trump will be convicted by the Senate (which most everyone with a sane mind believes)? Why make a bet against what you believe? It was ATL that claimed the House would not vote to impeach. Nobody said that the Senate would convict.
