The vote the lush scheduled for today is for impeachment. Actual impeachment does not occur until it's sent to the Senate. It would be like a grand jury indicting someone, but not arresting the suspect, as if it didn't happen at all.

The Constitution gives the House of Representatives the sole Power of Impeachment, as stated in Article 1, Section 2 of the US Constitution.
From Article 1, Section 2 - "The House of Representatives shall chuse their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment."

Grand Juries have the sole power to indict but until an indictment is registered in a court it doesnt exist.

If the House of Representatives votes to impeach the President today, then he is formally impeached. It doesn't matter what the Senate does. Impeachment is handled by the House of Representatives. Keep in mind, Nixon was impeached. He never even had a Senate trial, because he resigned prior to one taking place.
Nixon was not impeached. I verified this. Articles were approved but he resigned before a final vote was taken no house impeachment vote happened.
He was charged in a partisan vote...He'll be acquitted in a bipartisan vote.

I just looked it up, and you're right. I never knew that's the way it played out, and just assumed he resigned after the full house had voted. These cocksuckers have been lying about this for a few decades now. So Trump will actually be the 1st President to be impeached in over 150 years. This will not end well for the democrats, and most of them already know that, but they got themselves in so deep, they couldn't paddle their way back out of the **** pile.
Impeachment is the charge, conviction and removal from office is the objective. Trump will be the first President to NOT be charged with a crime while also NOT removed from office.
Clinton was charged with a crime, perjury, and suborning of perjury. He was not convicted, thus he remained in Office. Nixon was never charged, he resigned before being charged.
Trump hasn't been charged with any crime nor will he be even if is impeached. He also will not be removed from office. However Democrats voting to impeach him without specifying criminal charges will be removed from office.
