FWIW, some other Pinstripe crowds (which all stink compared to us):
Indiana

Cuse

Michigan State (absolutely most pathetic bowl crowd I’ve ever seen, MAC teams bring more to their bowls)

The Rutgers-Notre Dame Pinstripe Bowl in 2013 had 47K. Penn State-BC in 2014 had 49K (That was right after Penn State's Bowl ban was suddenly lifted, so they sold the place out immediately.)

Correct, I wasnt trying to say this was the largest Pinstripe crowd ever. I am saying it’s in the top3 or 4 of the 13 games, to the people (or same person on 15 accounts) saying before the game it would be the lowest attended Pinstripe ever (not even close) .. also agree that Miami had more than 4k, probably 7-8k. Their “allottment” sections were totally filled. The 50 yard line sections on their side tho was mostly RU, as was the endzone and wrapped around first 2-3 sections on their side.

finally got a pretty good shot of the stadium on TV- and it looks damn good- knowing that Miami brought almost no one- we have at least 35k there ourselves
Stands look completely red and all but the upper pretty much full
Rutgers fans showed up in full force. Just about every spot I saw on our side had an *** in the seat. Nice to see the troll create so many accounts, waste his time and ABSOLUTELY WHIFF on his intent. My group had an awesome time. Billy's was a blast before and packed to the gills. Those who refused to watch a football game there because its a baseball stadium missed out cheering on our Scarlet Knights. The weather held out, the seats/sight lines were very good, Rutgers fans rocked and our team won. Congrats to out football team and props to the fans for awesome support.

Curious to hear first hand reports from those who are there.
From my seat, Miami definitely didn't do their part on trying to fill up the stadium. If Rutgers fans didn't show there would have been maybe 5,000 people there. 4,500 Miami fans and another 500 New Yorkers looking for a day out.

This and from what I saw in the stadium it was 31k Rutgers fans and maybe 4k Miami fans.
I’d say that sounds spot – on. Crazy thing is with today’s weather we likely get another 5000 fans there from our side. Absolutely perfect out right now.
Were you there? Did you walk around Yankee Stadium before and after the game?
Did you notice the Miami fans sprinkled throughout the stadium?
Yes, the Rutgers fans in attendance were awesome, but there was more than 4k
Miami fans. Sorry.
Were you on acid yesterday, lol? if anything there were thousands of our fans on the Miami/1st base side of the stadium.

RU side 100s and 200s and 300s was completely sold out (400s not opened).
Audi Yankees Club 100% Rutgers and oversold. Endzone was 90% RU. Miami Sideline 30% RU.
35k is accurate.

Hey, I found my gang in here! Thanks Scarlet Dave!

Almost forgot about this moron. Time to have some fun!!!
Nuts- Billy’s was a madhouse. Sorry to sound like a cranky old man but man they pushed the capacity limits. Not a foot to spare where the wasn’t a body.

I think the capacity is about 2600 BUT it was definitely right there for sure. PACKED to the rim, no doubt!

This is where people are confused. Miami did not sell out their allotment and 3 days ago thousands of those seats on the 1st base side were then made available for sale by Ticketmaster. Many of those seats were purchased by Rutgers fan and hence the “allotment sections “ seemed full. In fact made full by Rutgers fans, AGAIN there were never 8k Miami fans in the stadium. 5k would be a generous number.

The first 10 Pinstripe Bowls averaged about 39,000-40,000 overall . Then the pandemic hit and no game was played in 2020. It appears that the Pinstripe Bowl is still recovering/rebuilding its attendance since:

29,653 for 54-10 Maryland victory over Virginia Tech (lowest ever)
31,131 for 28-20 Minnesota victory over Syracuse
35,314 for 31-24 Rutgers victory over Miami

The aftereffect of the pandemic definitely hurt attendance in 2021.

I think the 2022 and 2023 numbers are due to the "been there, done that" feeling among a large portion of RU and Cuse fans. It was the third appearance for both schools in the Pinstripe Bowl. After attending one or both of RU's previous PB games, many RU fans decided to watch the game at home instead of trudging into The Bronx to watch a football game in a baseball stadium.

Which game was the blizzard? Nobody there?
Which game was the frozen infield?
Nobody there either.

Did they announce the attendance cause it looked like quite a bit? On TV, you could hear the large chorus of RU fans when something went our way/against us. Had to be 15k RU at least

I think local bowls are going to be the strategy moving forward.

12 team playoff, maybe a 2nd tier of bowl games, and then local games that are auto tie ins for 7-5/6-6 type teams.

Lots of people rag on the pinstripe bowl, but I love the bowl. Super easy to get to, limited travel, Billy’s was awesome, and every year I’ve gone the weather has held up.

I see many more pinstripes in our future

Some forget that it was pouring ,at least where I was, until about 10 am the morning of the game. Flooding on many streets. Crowd and fans did great and there was a good Miami contingent. By the way there were Miami fans on the 3rd base side. If you were at game you'd be praising the whole atmosphere.

G-d no.
We got real lucky with the weather. I think the B1G max is twice in 7 years. This is not a Bowl destination..simply an extra home game. Florida, Arizona, Nashville, Las Vegas, California, etc. are Bowl destinations that we are playing for.
I do know we would bring 10x the fans Maryland brought to Nashville today. They had maybe 1500.

Bowl games as we know it are over due to the expanded playoffs and transfer portal timing. Watching Georgia’s 1st team play FSU 2nd/3rd team is boring AF. Never thought I would see the day college football jumped the shark.

Agree. RU has played in 12 bowl games in its history... fans had to travel north for half of them. Traveling north is not what fans think about when they think about bowls.

I’ve been to 3 pinstripe bowls and each time the weather has held up.

Unless it was bitter cold vs Iowa State and I don’t remember it correctly?

Not saying it’s a destination bowl, just that it’s what will likely end up happening.

Michigan fans won’t travel far and wide for a 6-6 team, but they would pack Detroit.

Maryland fans won’t travel far and wide for a 6-6/7-5 team, but there would be a decent amount in Baltimore.

Regional tie ins will end up being a thing when all this playoff stuff gets established. That’s all I’m saying.
