Attention site moderators/administrators - RE: Names/identities/histories

I see that some have successfully been migrated over, including their histories etc. I see here and elsewhere that many others have not.

I'm in the latter category and would like some help reclaiming my identity, I'm sure others would as well.

Could someone in a position of knowledge and responsibility please respond to this and offer us some help? It would be greatly appreciated.

I had to sign in with Google. It would not accept my email address or password that I used on the previous site. I know they are correct! It was my understanding that we could use the same sign in credentials here. HELP!!!

Well, I see that it did put my correct user name up there, but it has "new member" after the name. So I guess we have to start over? It doesn't matter much to me since I didn't have that many posts using this user name, but I had many more with my previous account and have been with Rafters since the move from Wildcat Faithful.

It was the hot spot in town before Rupp's Rafters. From there I remember a move to The Cat's Pause, and then a split to The Cat's Pause and Cats Illustrated. At least I think that's how it happened. (I drank a lot in those days).

Here I have been pobilly for years. My name at Rupp Rafters was Blue Cincy. Can someone put Blue Cicny history on Pobilly? I am Pobilly in some form on all the other forums I use.

We have entered an era where history is meaningless. What we posted in 2003 is ancient history.

Just trying this for the first time with Google myself. Let's see what this looks like...

Edit: Well, at least my name transferred over and it shows my original date I joined way back in 2003. I guess the other history is no more.

On the HOB Justin posted a "tweet" from Shannon Terry. His response to the tweet was "Cats Illustrated stuff will be merged relatively soon given that it's got some of the bigger boards"

Using Gmail/Google and NOT typing in my email, was what got me back.

I think.

Edit: ok has my username and join date.. but no icon and post history. Which kind of sucks. But I get that these things arent going to transition nicely

I can edit my avatar, but not my username. I hope someone figures out how we can do that. Like you, I changed my username and my profile, but when I come back to the board, it still has me as Anon .. .and a string of numbers. I would like to change it to [ala_kat2]

All - try going to hamburger on top left, click on username, click on profile, scroll down and change password and username. Log out. Log in with new password. Post. Hopefully see new username.

Tanks for the link but somebody is using my old name, which seems unlikely. And it won’t let me change to a new one. Won’t allow me to enter an email address which is required to login.

That was the only option I saw initially and it didn't work for me. But, if you look closer there's also an option to log in with Google. I was able to log in that way and see my old username.
