That is an assessment of past performance in other offensive systems. Past performance does not necessarily predict future outcomes.

Mertz was widely recruited out of hs and had big offers. He has excellent size, arm talent, and multiple years of eligibility. Wherever Mertz goes, he has a chance to do more in a different offense. You never really know what the future holds.

I agree-- but I'm basing off what I've seen in comparison of performance of all three the last two years. Of course it doesn't mean that's how it will end up. Mertz needs someone to turn him around because he doesn't even resemble the same QB I saw at Wisconsin his freshman year. Change of scenery huge for him.

I agree with that. The thing about Mertz is the eligibility. He has multiple years left.

Article I just read said that UK was a much better fit for Leary. It said that Mertz is more like Levis physically but mentioned his decision making and accuracy as two things would have to improve on.

Leary is a much better player than mertz. It’s honestly not even comparable so we don’t have to lie to ourselves.

Looked over the AU site and their supposed inside guys are saying he had unbelievable visit and is wanting to bring in his best friend who is All ACC ol. We brought in a MSST wr for a visit and is there today. They had a huge weekend, multiple commits and a couple flips.

Interesting thanks for passing along. Kentucky guy reported that UK players are under the impression he’ll commit to UK soon. Hope they’re right and Auburn guy is wrong lol but we’ll find out soon enough

They are flying high after getting rid of their last coach and hiring freeze, they think they are getting everyone, going to hire our coordinatorscto be position coaches at AU.

I was told Leary's announcement will be coordinated with ESPN CFB reporters, giving it very high profile treatment
