Like I said in the gamethread.

But also, God bless him and his ability to make something happen with the shot clock winding down.

Not sure I've seen anything quite like those late-game heroics from NU basketball since Tre Demps.

2-0 in the Big Ten!

He hit two shots that were awful shot selection. He needs to work on that still but when’s he’s feeling it getting him the ball late helps. If he has it early he becomes a black hole.

In the beginning he made questionable decisions.

In the 2nd half, whether those shots go in or not, we were in trouble, we needed to make something happen. Our offense was stagnant.

From when NU was down 54-50, Audige made 6 of NU's final 8 field goals. I will ABSOLUTELY TAKE IT, but I hope this team doesn't think that they should stop running good offense late in the game just because they have a guy who will go one-on-one with anyone.

The two best field goals in that stretch, in my opinion, were Audige's pass to Buie for 3 in the corner, and Nance's beautiful setup of Kopp's rhythm 3.

In the games I have watched, he has been a totally different player 1) late in the clock and 2) when the game is on the line. That is very exciting but early in the game he has stunk up the place.

He has the needed skills. I think it’s more a matter of learning how to fit into the offense. I think he’s progressing there, but it’s not finished yet.

I agree. When he has cold nights, TVs among the NU community will get broken. When he is on, cops will Be summoned to homes not usually a problem about noise complaints. ‘Northwestern what? Beat who? Huh? Just keep it down buddy, may go lighter on the sauce.’

I'm not thrilled with his shot selection, but what's different is that when the game is on the line, he WANTS the ball and WANTS to take the shot. No deer in the headlights look from him.

Just a quick look for a teammate or two ... that's all I need.

But his NU career is young.

Audige personifies the “Trust Yourself” mantra of NU football, which should be the mantra for everyone. Go Cats!

Great win but points about NU offense going stagnant are legit. Some low percentage shots dropped so we appreciate it and remember this one in games when they don"t . Saw some shades of Carson Edwards of Purdue in Audige. Needs continued work on his game but he sure goes for it. Quite a trio of guards for IU. Davis-Jackson showed NBA talent and play that NU front court can model. IU will be in trouble without him. IUs main back up big was out with a back injury. Very fortunate to win but any win at Bloomington is a good won. NU may match its prior year conference win total by Saturday. Whole team can come back. Also get a free shot at Iowa. Another top 5 team.
