To be honest, he looks on Hudl as much better than any OT who shuns UK. And this kid wants to be a Cat. Let's support him and forget about those who leave the state.

I agree we should support anyone who wants to be here, but let's be careful with those sour grapes. It's just a game.

Not really sour grapes. If you watch them both on Hudl.com Dotson looks better to me. His 6'6" frame, 300 plus weight and strength makes him a very good OT recruit.

Dotson certainly looks far better than his ranking suggests. In that regard, he reminds me of the unheralded tackle from Kentucky that signed when Rich Brooks was here. I can't remember his name right now for the life of me, but the guy was regarded as the best OL on the team when he was a freshman, despite coming in as a 2 star prospect. Was his name Murray perhaps? If I remember correctly, he was only here for a season or so. Not sure if he was an academic casualty, got suspended, or was injured, but he sure could play.

ETA: It was Aaron Miller I was thinking about, from the 2004 class.

He looks like a kid with a ton of upside, but then again i don't get paid to judge these kids. I'm sure there is a reason Wills is rated a 5 star player and has offers from every elite school in the country. He is probably really talented and we could really use him on our team. If the kid wants to sign elsewhere, so be it. You never want a kid signing that really doesn't want to be here. At least with this kid he wants to be a part of Kentucky football and has talent to work with. He looks the part of a SEC offense linemen. In the past the kids we were signing didn't even look the part, never mind the talent.

Wills is deserving of his ranking and should be ranked higher than Dotson due to his elite pass blocking ability.

Dotson is a project because pass blocking is so foreign. With that said, if he can get coached up I would put Dotson up against any linemen that has ever came to UK in terms of shear natural gifts. The potential is through the roof
