The last time UK was able to compete on a nightly basis was 2006 and 2007. Those teams where loaded with good players from the state. UK needs the 5 or 6 legit division 1 players this state produces. We can't compete with only level 2 players from Ohio.I'm just glad to see our state producing high quality linemen for a change. Between Landon Young and Drake Jackson last year, Willis Dotson and Bentley next year, we could in theory start an all KY offensive line in a few years. (Probably won't happen because positions wouldn't exactly fit, but still...)
2 level players from OH are legit Div 1 players, 3 & even some 4 stars. They are likely more so Div. 1 players than all but a handful of KY players. I.e., beyond the KY handful, we're better off with those OH players. Yea they are good players but some of the highest rated players on UK roster are from the state of ky. Young, Timmons, Kash, Brown, Robinson,Drake are some of the highest rated and most talented players on the roster.2 level players from OH are legit Div 1 players, 3 & even some 4 stars.
