Talk to Padgett, Mills, Epps, Miller about that. There are a host of others, but that's a bad take.
Absolutely...the young crowd that only has known the immediate past coach as UK basketball, were all convinced that Kentucky high school players are not capable of playing at UK. Those know-it-alls would have voted NO on Padgett, Mills, Epps, Miller, etc.

He’s an unranked guard signed with a lower mid major IU Indy. No he’s not going to get an offer. Now maybe if he blows up and hit the portal in a few years but not this year.

According to his recruiting profiles, Davidson’s only offers are from mid-majors Youngstown State, Tenn Tech, Liberty and WKU.

Why is that someone we “need” to prioritize? Would it really be a disaster if Youngstown beat us to him?

Let's be real, a lot of UK fans are looking for the next great white hope.

Everyone says no to less talented players but I still haven’t seen anyone say where else you are getting players 13-15 for any roster. If Noah is 11 and Perry is 12 you taking 3 worse or 3 better players? The kids willing to sacrifice a year of their career by not playing at all are hard to find.

2 of them are top 30 players and Noah proved he has a future. Your solution is to recruit over anyone from KY every year?
My solution is to recruit over ANY player at UK. NOBODY should have a free spot. If someone comes available that is better than Oweh, sign him. It is a cruel, harsh, world. College sports is no different. Sign the BEST you can sign, if it hurts someone's feelings, get better. I promise you this, let a player get a better offer than they have at UK currently and see what happens.

Pope DESPERATELY needs a talented bench to help motivate guys. You can't just rotate underperformers out, with said kids going "okay, coach" knowing they're at no risk of having to sit the rest of a game.
Absent the underperformer being in his final season of eligibility, I’m not sure the threat of the bench will ever return to being effective in college as it was pre-portal and pre-NIL. Too easy to pout and then hop in the portal?

No chance. Can’t win with players like Perry/Noah/Sperry. They just aren’t nearly good enough to even be any threat on offense and they are all horrendous on defense.

Watching the Final 4 games defense should be enough for people to realize these Kentucky kids should only ever be cigar players.
Ridiculous post. What a blanket insult that is totally uncalled for. Too many in state players to name that have had highly productive careers at either UK, UL, UT, Vandy etc etc. will Noah and Perry need time? Yes. Just be patient. Geez.

Never said all Kentucky players can’t make it. Just said that Perry and Noah are terrible on defense and too unathletic to make a difference on offense. Can’t win titles with players like that in the rotation.

I’d rather get proven guys that can play defense at the end of the bench. There is no need in the current state of college basketball to hope and pray that players will possibly develop.

I remember the days when fans were happy to get rid of players like Quade Green, Brooks, and Whitney because they weren’t “good enough.” But most keep praising guys like Perry and Noah just because of the state they were born in.
