I like to think I understand the digital world well, but avatars confuse me. On Rivals, we had to use an irl. It appears here we can just upload a file from our device.

Is this accurate? Are there any known security issues from those who understand such? Thanks in advance.

I can't speak to the security issues, but when I selected my new avatar, I first downloaded it onto my pc, then selected that file.

None that I know of, but I recommend using a PNG instead of JPG format file, for security reasons.
