Your negativity is exhausting. You are right though; if it is far from settled that these guys are the great coaches we (not including you) want them to be. They have a long way to go but this was a step in the right direction, and all you can do is attempt to tear it down as best you can.
Why can't we compare our performance yesterday to the last 2 years? It's absolutely relevant to analyze our team in its progress or lack thereof. Your getting offended by this just shows your ultra-sensitive attitude towards the previous staff. This just proves, once again, that your arguments are without a doubt completely agenda-driven. This type of behavior is not something that a fan who wants progress within the program with the current staff displays. I don't respect people with this attitude.
Here is what I said:
At what point do we stop comparing the Riley era to the Pelini era -
I loved the win and thought the offense played well against a decent defense. We really needed a win badly and got it hopefully this sparks a run
That said lets be honest - this is not the same Minn team - they have struggled to run the ball and do not have a QB that can beat you with the pass. Our secondary play continues to disappoint and really does not appear to be improving. Leidner had a career high day in completions and passing yards. We need to make some progress here and in a hurry MSU could blow us out otherwise
I also scratch my head at the playcalling and TA no longer appears to be making any decision making progress
All in all we won an away game against decent defense and won a much needed game
So I post it was a good win and then I stated my concerns and yes I think they are valid Leidner had a career day passing the ball that does not mean it lessens what some of our players did well but it is concerning at least in my mind
So this sets off a firestorm ? I wasnt going to respond initially because the entire thread started by timmy was meant to go this direction anyhow for his amusement but I fail to see how I was overly critical
