In order for a floor vote to take place in the House the rules committee MUST first meet and agree to take a vote on hearing the evidence presented once voted out of committee. House managers MUST also be named to present the case, and the full House (which includes Republicans) MUST be allowed to hear the evidence, offer objections, and otherwise participate in this process in ways they are NOT being allowed to participate currently in committee.
Unless Pelosi designates House managers, schedules a rules committee vote (including Republicans currently excluded from this entire process) and schedules a floor session on the current legislative calendar, there isn't going to be an impeachment vote.
One quick look at the current House legislative calendar shows only 14 days left. Dems have said this needs to be done by Turkey day. 14 days. Not a lot of time left to get all of this done if this is going to happen?
Next session is too late. Primaries start in February. No time for impeachment. It's now or never. I'm saying "never."
@countryroads89 ....are you listening?
