Man, I sure hope the next generation aren't the same greedy bastards that the last two generations have been.
I think they both reach around 90 million households. Those numbers might not be up to date, though.
i suppose it's probably a sign of respect that they don't hide most of our required ESPN appearances on the U with games against PSU or Nebraska to kill two birds with one stone anymore. our national TV games (well they all are, but non- BTN or FS1) are Indiana, Maryland, MSU, Wisconsin. someone was excited to pick those matchups rather than trying to get them out of the way i think.
and correct me if I'm wrong under the new TV deal, but CBS and FOX probably have no such requirement to choose any of our games if they don't want to.
So stupid.
Maybe we could reschedule them for the dead week after the Big Ten Tournament when the other major conferences hold their tourneys.
I'm not sure what the minimum requirements are under the new TV deal. Neither FOX nor CBS is obligated to pick our games, though, so getting two of them is a sign of respect.
