Sorry if someone has already discussed this. The game / show was significant from two considerations.

1. Game was a mud fest - terrible playing conditions. Penn State was relentless and tough; determined and not to be denied. Our play was very physical.

2. The ESPN produced summary (I believe) had lots of shots of Auburn's Terry Bowden and not one of Joepa. Evidently "they" felt justified changing history and pretending like Penn State had no coach.

The liberal democratic WOKE way - erase history. Why should BIG be any different run by those schmucks?

It’s really unfair. Doesn‘t anyone who does this stuff stop and think about it. I sometimes think about when I was cruel to someone in school and feel regret, but I was a kid when I did it. These are adults. I remember some member of the media coming to PSU when they were all piling on Joe, and he got busted for DWI. I feel that Joe did things right more often than not, and it made them feel small.

Same with the ‘95 Rose Bowl I watched on the BTN this week. Not one shot of JVP.

The selective editing out of Joepa is sad but not surprising given we live in an era where hollow self serving jackassery reigns. Everyone pompously believes they are entitled to recreate the past to their own liking.

The first point about the toughness of the '96 team must not be lost. Honestly, the '96 team demonstrated a toughness and desire, to a man, far greater than what was shown by this year's "bowl team". The '96 team pushed Auburn around and ran over them. Didn't exactly see that happen with PSU today.
