The B1G & the SEC met last week to talk about dropping out of the NCAA and going it alone. They think the NCAA has let things get out of control with NIL & the transfer portal. Their main gripe is they don’t like splitting up the money with the smaller schools.

Doesn't shock anyone they do not want to level the "playing field". It gets boring watching the same 5-ish teams compete for a title every year.
