so if we had beaten Minny,,,,we would have tied for 1st?????? gotten a bid.....won in the play in game....then whole thing cancelled and we are tied for the National Championship???????? On a side note....if all the remaining tournaments are cancelled and they still hold the Dance...will we see more or less Mid Majors?

I can't believe that the IHSA still intends to hold the H.S. Playoffs in Peoria, starting this weekend.
I suspect less. There will be no upsets of regular season champs if there are no tournaments, which means fewer at large bids going to very good midmajor teams who lost in their tournament.
Bet the B1G saw Fred Hoiberg on the bench yesterday and decided discretion was the better part of valor.
I agree, the situation will be vastly different in 5 days when the tourney kicks off, and not in a good way.
Yeah, they have to do something. My guess is that they postpone it for now and say they will possibly reassess in a few weeks to see what is feasible. Obviously, even if the virus situation is much better in 3-4 weeks, there would still be a ton they have to figure out from a logistical standpoint, but I have a feeling they keep the door open for the possibility. Whether that actually happens or not? Who knows. No way they are playing next week though. Just not happening.
