January 26th I will become a father to a little girl, Lily Rose (last name redacted ). Pretty Insane. 1st Kid. Any advice for a new time dad? Im 25 with a house and my own man cave( how often will I be able to retreat?)

Are daughters as bad as they say they'll be?

Will I become a old man at the age of 30? (Stay tuned)

How easy is it to get a woman's sports scholarship?

Things are about to change my friends............ Anyone know how to fake their death and get a new Identity in the US? (I kid, kinda)

Daughters are awesome. I have two of them. Enjoy every moment you can with them. They grow up fast.

Is that name set in stone? There is a now retired adult model (not porn, she just posed nude for Suicide Girls) named Lillian "Lilly" Rose.

Rest up. You won't be getting much sleep. Also your sex life is about to be nonexistent except for the self serve variety. Finally you are now a second class citizen in your own home. It will all be worth it though as I am sure that she will make you proud.

Mines 10 and she is awesome. I have to say it was tough at first, Diapers, feeding, bathing, no buddy fun, lack of sleep, lack of drinking, lack of golf, interruption of ballgames, interruption of most everything.

Yea if you are a first time dad it can be an abrupt life changer, but I can honestly tell you that girls learn how to melt their daddies hearts very early in life. Mine being a kinda tom boy also helps. We play sports, fish, golf, tennis, PS4, go to UK games and can do everything together. I hope yours is the same for you.

I would suggest getting the book "Father to Daughter" and reading it from time to time:

I'm 29 I have two boys one 7 year old with autism he's the best kid ever. I also have a 8 month old. When the baby is 0-3 months I would say, say goodbye to your friends, the best part of your day will be when you can slip away to do some yard work. 0-3 months old are little crying blobs. 3-6 months all the loss of sleep, pulling out your own hair, dirty diapers become worth it when she looks at you and smiles (and not just a gas smile) for the first time. 6 months you will really start to see her personality shine through. You'll feel like punching the doctor when she gets her shots, you will see your fatherly protective side in that moment. People say two year olds are hard but that's a fun time. Potty training- This worked great for my first boy, use a room of your house (preferably a room with no carpet) find a good movie, make yourself comfortable, shut the door or block the door way, put her potty in the room, let her run around naked if you see her start to pee or poop move her to the potty, after she's done give her a reward and act super excited for her.
Don't argue with your partner in front of her. Swallow your pride and walk away if you have to.

Congratulations there is no harder job than to be a parent, you will end up spending a stupid amount of money on anything she wants.

I have a 10 month old. My first kid. It's been a blast but it definitely changes things for sure. I don't have much advice cause I'm still new to it all myself.

My daughter turned 22 last month. I will just say she put me through a LOT less hell than I did my parents.

The hardest thing I had to learn and she finally had to tell me. It was one of the -the world is falling apart / stress - situations. I was trying to fix everything again.

She finally looked at me and said “Dad, I don’t need you to fix anything or tell me what to do. Please just listen and let me cry.”

Best lesson I ever learned. You will thank me later.

Sleep in and take afternoon naps on the weekend while you still can. Also, don't be the dad that refuses to change diapers or take care of your child in general because it's the "woman's job".

Perhaps you should stick to things you know more about, not a good look for you, literally everything non-opinion you have said in response has been completely wrong. And upon further research, she has gotten back into the game and is now also doing straight up cam girl porn stuff.

But good luck with the child (even if it will have the same name an a adult/porn model)

I hope you hate sleep because babies hate for you to ever rest. Have another baby on the way in my house hold too and the old lady says it's mine so no rest for me soon either. That man cave will soon be decorated in Lisa frank or whatever the hell lottlengirls like. Congrats either way.

I have 2 girls. Oldest one is 9 and younger is 7. Older is very dependent, especially on me. We have a very deep bond because our personalities are so similar (we are both introverted and reluctant to change). Biggest struggle is getting her to do things on her own, being assertive and managing the times she gets hysterical because something is out of her control.

Younger one is very similar to her mother. A free spirit but also determined and headstrong. She is emotional though if you get really upset with her.

I think the most difficult part is trying to parent fairly but realizing that they respond to different discipline/encouragement.

You will discover a love you never knew was possible.
