Coach Stoops came out to the post game interview and kissed his wife and kids. By all accounts that moment showed Stoops at his lowest point. The loss was huge for the program and for the future of his career. Could he be feeling as his back is against the wall and has to win to keep his job. If his job is in jeopardy does he find a way to win?? Could the answer be firing a close friend who has been the DC since Stoops got to UK??

Most fans including myself have identified the in game management and adjustment's as a huge deficiency on the defensive side of the ball. The "bend but not break" defense is broken and has been broken since Stoops came here.

If he couldn't coach well before, the pressures he's facing this season aren't going to suddenly bring it out. But he isn't losing his job until after next year, we won't pay the buyout. I could see him resigning with a modified buyout if he's just as bad next year.

I'm different...yes we have given up 58 points in the last four quarters of the second half in the last two games... But in the same context we have scored 0, that would be ZERO points in the last four quarters of the last two games ... If the offense had just done some clock management and moving the chains in the last four quarters those games neither Otis or Southern Mississippi would have had enough time on the clock to come back and win the games... This is a team game and both offense and defense are to blame for these two losses

Reportedly season ticket sales are down over 7,000 this season... What happens if this season does fall apart and next years season tickets drop another 7-10 k please tell me where Mitch Barnhart turns then?

Auburn paid 7.5 mil to get rid of Chizek, Florida 6.3 mil for Muschamp, Tenn 5 mil for Dooley. The only comparable buy out (to Stoops 15.5, 12 mil) actually paid I can find is Charlie Weis. So no, I don't think even if we're extra terrible this year that MB will pay the buy out. He'll figure out something stupid to stem the tide ($5,000 trailers, free tickets and jack up concessions, whatever) until the buy out is low enough.

Stoops will be here his year and next. I like Stoops. But he hasn't proven to be a good coach. I hope he does. It is what it is. Barnhart on the other hand, needs to go!! He's terrible at hiring coaches. I wouldn't trust him to pick a playground team.

Honestly, I seriously doubt replacing Stoops has even crossed Mitch's mind one time at this point. Stoops is safe through at least 2017 probably longer despite results. Wins and losses are only a portion of Mitch's method of evaluation.

......Eliott will take another position at the end of the season to protect Stoops during his 5th season... Stoops might go voluntArily......question is if he stays for year 5....who become DC ..?....does he do it in a final attempt to salvage some dignity?.....
